Colts sign Orlovsky (1 Viewer)

Colts re-signed QB Dan Orlovsky.

The Colts also worked out Brodie Croyle, but Orlovsky had the experience edge after spending training camp with the team. A third quarterback was needed for insurance with Kerry Collins coming off a concussion against the Steelers in Week 3. We're tentatively expecting Curtis Painter to start against the Bucs.

As a Colts fan I wish this season was already over and it was the end of April getting ready for the draft. This signing doesn't really mean anything with regards to the Colts or fantasy.

Wow. Rock bottom. Better remind Dan how deep the endzone goes again.
The Colts season is starting to remind me of the 1979 Lions. Lost both QBs preseason, ending up starting rookie Jeff Komlo 16 games. Went 2-14 and won the Billy Sims sweepstakes. 9-7 the next year, and got to watch an awesome stud RB for five years.

Wow a Komlo reference.that is taking it back. to this day he is the worst QB I ever seen

Starting to think indy will see the manning era end and the luck era begin. (After a two year handover)

More like Dan OrNotsky am I right? The lack of foresight by the Colts with this whole situation is mind boggling.

All things considered, this makes sense. At least he is familar with the organization. Can't say there are any good options out there. The Colts defense though is looking pretty good, so they could finish 4th or 5th in theLuck sweepstakes. And the Colts run game is looking better than it has in years.

More like immediate handover. Fans should to start accepting that it's far more likely that Peyton won't play again than the alternative. Even if he does come back, it's going to be a very short-lived experiment that ends in a news conference announcing his retirement.

Man, if Manning never plays again or even if we enver get to see the Colts in the form they were in for the last decade, I'll feel like I missed out on a chance to appreciate the end of the era. Usually, you kinda know when its the last hurrah. I came into this season just expectign another routine Monster performance from the Colts offense...I really DO miss Dallas Clark from my fantasy team ...

The Colts have now fired Coyer, the DC.

Because it's the DEFENSE'S fault.

Offensive time of possession is a league worst 24:32, about 2:45 WORSE than the closest next team (Sea).

I wonder if there isn't some kind of revolt going on in the Colts locker room. The first thing to do when that happens is fire those who speak up. Just shut up and lose. This situation is far, far worse than the `08 0-16 Lions, who were just overmatched in terms of talent on the field.

Why would they ruin a chance to get Luck?
Ok, so they're tanking?Exactly.
Right. They can't tell their players to lose, but they can put players on the field who are more likely to lose. Easiest, most impactful to do that at the QB position.
Exactly. It is very easy to put players on the field who may "lose", yet hard to prove they are tanking. Reminds me when the NJ Devils and Pitt. Penguins were fighting for Mario in the early 80s. They were tied for worst record (if memory serves me correct) and NJ put out a decent lineup the last couple of games and there were rumors that that Pitt did not...very hard to prove (you can give your 3rd and 4th lines extra time on the ice) and that is often enough to tilt the situation in your favor (to lose). In fact, Pittsburgh went 2-14 over their last 16 games.
