Has anyone installed the Comma.ai system yet? It's an aftermarket open source self driving system that works with a multitude of modern vehicles. It was developed By Gorge Hotz, of Iphone and Playstation jailbreaking fame. Just took the plunge and ordered it and wonder if anyone else has experience?

I have not heard of it, however they are advertising 6000 users, which does not seem like very many.

I will send this to the arstechnica car reviewer. They are both a tech site and a car site, so they could possibly provide a good review.

It is considered a Level 2 driver assistance device and is much like Tesla's Full Self Driving or Ford Bluecruise or GM Supercruise. It just steers, brakes, and completes lane changes. The driver still has to pay attention and be ready to take over the controls. The driver can't just take a nap in the backseat. We're several levels away from that.

Installed and configured this yesterday. Installation and configuration was under and hour and It works shockingly well. Better in some respects than the BlueCruise system we have on the Mach E.
