commissioner controls (1 Viewer)

In my MFL league I am the commissioner and can see each team's waiver moves before the waiver period. We are new to MFL and it lead me to consider whether or not the commissioner in the other websites(fanball, espn, sportsline) could see the waivers before they take place. This presents an obviously huge advantage for the commish if you can't trust him, especially if you are bidding on free agents. As a commish on the other websites can you see the moves?

Go to abilities.. setup.. and check off Commissioner Lockout... Then you as commish can only do what each and every owner can do!

Thanks game time. That's what I will do on my league, but I am more concerned about the other leagues where I am not the commish. Specifically CBS, where we bid on free agents. Last year I was beat on 2 bids by $1 by the commish's father on both bids. Seemed a bit fishy at the time and with B Jackson on the board I just want to know what I'm dealing with. Thanks again for your response.

I commish on CBS and the only waiver bids I can see are my own. I have no idea who other teams are bidding on. The only way I could possibly gain that knowledge is if I have those teams log in and password info and I actually logged in as them. I do not know that info for any of my league mates except for one guy who never had internet access until this year. I think I may have logged in as him two or three times in the past 8 years.

One of the things I do not like about CBS is that you can never really tell when the last time a team owner was at the site, unlike MFL where you can see exactly the last time an owner visited the homepage. Not sure if it recognizes an owner was at the site if they bypass the homepage, but I can see the last time they updated their starting roster by looking at the Reports>Franchises>Starting Rosters page.

How can the commish set it up to where the system processes the blind bidding waivers each week? Currently the commish in my league on MFL claims that the system won't allow it and he has to manually process them each week. Is there a way to automate it for a specific time each week?

Yes, it is possible. It's not easy to explain here though. It took me and a co-commish a number of trial runs before we got it set up correctly the way we wanted it. It ran just fine on Thursday morning and I didn't have to manually process any of the waivers. Your commish either doesn't want to take the time to set it up correctly (too lazy) or doesn't realize it can be done.

And to piggyback on what the last guy wrote, automating the blind bidding waiver process was singlehandedly the greatest thing I've done as a Commish of a MFL the past 7 years. Do it, you'll love it.

There is a nice concise waiver tutorial written by bonscott on the MFL forum: Link
