Company filled in our driveway by accident. Legal council? (1 Viewer)

I always thought this would be an awesome practical joke. Call up a rock delivery place and order a ton of rocks to your buddy's address and have it poured in the driveway. Ideally it would be done when he's gone so he'd have no idea what happened when he gets home.
Personally I prefer practical jokes that don't cost thousands of dollars.
Surpringly enough 1 ton of gravel is about $10. No idea what delivery would cost.
Exactly. It's really not very expensive to have a bunch of rock just delivered and dumped.

I've thought about posing as my neighbor and ordering a tree service to take out a few of my neighbors trees while he is gone. He would return to missing trees and a bill. The problem is there is only one person bothered by his half dead dirty ### cottonwoods planted on our mutual property line. I would be busted in no time.
Not to mention that cutting down cottonwoods leads to hundreds of zombie sprouts that tear up your turf like nothing else.

Definitely want to hit the stump with a root killer after, and to dig and pull what roots you can. The amount of suckers they generate is impressive. Hell, I've seen cottonwood logs several years old generate shoots after a rain. That is a pesky plant.

Harvey Updike has your hookup.

So, new neighbors moved in next door. They hired a company to come fill their driveway with dirt/rocks(it is on a slight downward angle so erosion happens over time). The company filled our driveway by accident.

I fear the company will try to come after us with a bill. What do you think?
IANAL, but this was a specific example in my high school business law class.

As long as you didn't witness them doing this, then they can't bill you for it. Now, if you came witnessed them doing this, they can make you pay for it.

As all p.o.s. lawyers will tell you, anyone can sue you for anything, anytime, anywhere - but they won't make this stick.

IANAL? That sounds like the worse Apple product ever.

Does that stand for I am not a lawyer? If so I think I'd just go ahead and type that one out.
