Comparing Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck vs common opponents (1 Viewer)

Luck on the other hand has scored way more 2nd half TDs but also drove the length of the field each time mostly passing...
Oh come on... if you are going to play this game at least play it with actual facts. Luck has 10 second half passing TDs and one rushing TD.

Wilson has 11 second half passing TDs.

Please tell me how 11 is way more than 11.
Because it is!
IN THOSE GAMES! Why would I bring in all 12 games when we are talking about 3 specific games for each player...Dont want to go back and look but each QB at least had a hand in the 8 TDs for INDY and 4 TDs for Seahawks so feel free to go back and double check the # of TDs for each.

Ok.... so your argument was that Luck threw way more 2nd half TDs in his three come from behind wins than Wilson did in his three wins. Luck threw 5, Wilson threw 5. Luck did run one in though... so I guess that validates your point. I guess your argument is that Luck with SIX 2nd half TDs against the Packers (8-4), Titans (4-8), and Lions (4-8) is WAY MORE than Wilson's FIVE 2nd half TDs against the Packers (8-4), Patriots (9-3) and Bears (8-4). Am I understanding your argument correctly now?

I will give you that Luck threw for 5 and Wilson 5, 1 rush by Luck but then primarily 2 of the other 3 TDs were Luck driving the Colts 50%+ of the yardage down the field. Also you can take into account the Colts scored more field goals as well. So while the TD passes then is not as one sided as 8:4 my mistake from my point of view Luck had more input into the 8TDs and 3FGs compared to Wilson with the 5 TDs.

Also just to add, while the Seahawks were scoring 7,14,7 in the 3Q/4Q the Colts were scoring 27, 10, 21 supporting some views that the Defense is what is giving Wilson the ability to hold back any throws that might be close or forcing it for a big gain. Wilson knows as he should the Defense will help him out and most likely hold the other team where as Luck knows he needs to put up alot more points usually to have a chance.

Who would I rather have in the 4Q?

They are pretty even and I think 50%+ of the teams in the NFL would be more than happy to trade their QBs for either of them.

Wilson has thrown a game-winning touchdown pass in the final two minutes of regulation or overtime three times this season, the most by a rookie since at least the 1970 merger. For a handful of teams, Wilson is the quarterback who got away. For one team, Wilson was a steal and a savior.

Seahawks fans make me :lmao:
I'm getting tired of this. We have one insane over the top fan that posts here. Just one. Mad sweeney is mad, but he's a rational fan most of the time than can objectively look at his team. Scientist is so over the top blind homer it hurts. But for you to throw out blanket statements about ALL Seattle fans is absurd. Find just one post of mine, just one, where I post something way over the top about the Seahawks. I can find you tons where I'm critical of my own team. I can find you several where I'm critical of Wilson.ALL teams have their blindly loyal fans that throw out silly comments. All teams. All teams also have pretty much the same fan base when it comes to objectivity. What's stupid? You thinking that one team has better or worse fans than any other team.
He's just doing it to get at me. He's all butt hurt over the crappy Cowboys season and getting his panties wadded up in Cowboys game threads. I would say his interest in this thread and any comments he makes are about as useful as Scientist's.

Panties get wadded up dealing with you trolling Cowboys game threads. I can explain why I'm there in the thread, I'm the Cowboy fan.... Why again are you there?

My guess he's in that thread for the same reason you're in this thread.

I'm a Seahawks fan who would trade Wilson for Luck in a heartbeat, but if you're using the Colts' record as a reason to support Luck over anybody else, just know they've gotten really lucky. They've been outscored by 41 points on the season, they've beat one team with a winning record and 7 teams with losing records, and have a really easy schedule. They're 28th in total DVOA.

Andrew Luck is awesome. But being lucky is the reason the Colts are 8-4, not Luck.

I've been in Ciwboys threads for years. Not every week but more than just this year. Oh yeah, it was a Seahawk thread to boot. Cant imagine why id be in there. :lmao: Which is far, far less than you can say about Dolphins threads. Just a whiny little girl that can't handle themself, go on a troll spree and then try to act indignant. You fit your team.

Jeebus, why don't you two #### and get it over with. This isn't Glee.

Wilson - 317 pass attemptsLuck - 503 pass attemptsNo comparison.Wilson only throws when it's favorable.Luck always throws. For that reason, you can't compare their stats. Put Luck in a game manager role and he would probably much more efficient than he is in his current role.
Wilson - 19passing TDs, 8intsLuck - 17passing TDs, 16intsNo comparison.
Like the previous poster mentioned, this is faulty reasoning. The fact that Luck has as many attempts AND is productive (well, not terrible) counts for a lot, statistic wise. If wilson has to throw as much as Luck, his stats would not extrapolate to the same ratio as they are now (nor can you assume Wilson would even have the same stats he has now). If Luck's attempts were reduced to Wilson's stats does not mean Luck would throw less than 17tds and 16 ints. The two sets are not comparable because pass attempts are significantly too different.

Missed the Colts game but saw Luck's line. Can anyone confirm if the Colts won because of him or in spite of him?

Not a common opponent, just curious if this is another victory which can be attributed to Andrew.

Luck throws the prettiest pick 6's you've ever seen.

Wicked spirals...bring tears to my eyes. The Indy D had a TD and 2 INT's yesterday against the high powered Tennessee offense.
