Computer Won't Connect to Wifi on Plane (1 Viewer)

I have a 2017 Macbook Pro and have an ongoing problem connecting to American Airlines wifi service.  The page (www.aainflight.com usually) won't pop up.  I've tried a lot of things and even took the computer to the Apple Store to see if there was a problem.  There wasn't.  The girl suggested I forget all of the stored networks and then try again.  Yesterday, I connected to the wifi and was able to get www.aa.com to work but again, the wifi page wouldn't load.  I cleared the DNS, turned off wifi and still nothing.  I tried typing in 8.8.8.8 to force the page to load and again nothing. I don't have this problem with any other hotels etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

I think the issue is you are trying to connect to a flying hotel.

Make sure all OSX updates have been installed.

Clear all browsing history/cookies.

Try a different browser. (Make sure that browser is totally up to date)

make a different user account on the MacBook and try that.

hold down command or control or whatever it is while opening the browser so it loads with no extensions.

Has to be Safari. I’ve run into this.
I tried Firefox and Chrome and had no luck with either.

I also logged in with a new account which also didn't work.

Buy a book
Presently reading Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town by Stephen Leacock. You should shoot the lock off your wallet and track down a copy. It’s spectacular.

See if you can get an inflight reboarding. I'm sure there is another plane somewhere in your current air space. Tricky, but  possible.

This is a common problem lots of people have (including me), and I’ve never found a solution. It’s infuriating. Works fine with iPhone, but with Mac it doesn’t work with any browser I’ve tried.
