Not sure if this is the right place, but don't have much time at the moment.

Just wanted to let all know that FBG was voted best content site by the Fantasy Sports Trade Association today.

The finalists were all the heavy hitters, but glad to see they got this right.

WTG to all that make this a great place to get our FF fix.

Thanks John and others here.

This FSTA conference ended on the best possible note for us. We won the ultimate award at the show: Best Online Content

This wasn't for the best football site. It included all sports. A ton of companies were nominated and it included all of the heavyweights (ESPN, CBS Sportsline, Yahoo, Rotoworld/CBS, Fox, etc)....and we somehow won.

Walking back after accepting the award, tons of people were high fiving me and shaking my hand. This was voted on by the entire trade association members (about 250 members) so this wasn't that we just had some friends on the selection committee. The committee narrowed things to the top 5 companies in each category, but the whole membership voted for the final results.

In my opinion this is the top award for the FSTA. They present it last and the biggest players are in this space. Within our industry, it's like the Best Picture Award at the Oscar's.

In addition to this win, we also were among the top 5 in these categories: Best Magazine, Best Innovation (Rate My Team), and Best Podcast ("The Audible").

Surreal moment for sure. Joe and I are very appreciative of the staff we have assembled. We also couldn't be prouder of the posters on this board. But as good as we were in 2009, we have some big ideas still to realize in this space. We have already started setting some of those ideas in motion so that 2010 is an even better fantasy experience for everyone involved.

This award goes out to everyone that has helped us along the way. Every post, every freelance article, every suggestion to improve, etc. Our name says it all: Footballguys. We are a collection of people that love Fantasy Football.

How come I didn't hear about this in The Daily Beast?

This is really a great site; not only for it's written content but it's always outstanding Podcasts. Cecil, Sigmund, Jene, John and Matt (off the bench) do a great job of keeping us informed while making it fun.

Long live the Roman Empire of Fantasy Football.

I have always thought FBG has the best content on it. I usually sign up however not for the content but mostly for the use of the baords which i think 50 cents a week or whtever it works out to, I definitely get my money's worth out of this place.

And I actually don't read that much content. I read the upgrade/downgrade content-stuff rocks, the weekly report Henry does on sleepers which is always a fun read, and like most I look forward to David Dodd's projections or weekly rankings even though I usually disagree witha decent amount of it, still love to read it.

Congrads boys.

Congrats David and all Footballguys staff. This award is well deserved. :kicksrock:

Congrats to the FBG crew, well deserved. Can't believe how long it's been since the old boards were put to bed. As much as the Sharkpool contributed to the win, I'm sure the FFA is what caught their attention.

Keep up the good work, guys. :goodposting:

Why do I have a visual of Dodds up there with the award saying: "You like us! You really like us!" :lmao:

Congrats guys - very well earned :goodposting:

anyone have a link?
I googled the topic and received some serious information from '09 with a note at the bottom of the page that referred to the "Winter Conference" happening Jan 26/27.The association page(s) must be updated after the conference to show the nom's and the winners but there's nothing there yet. Today is the 28th so maybe the site will be updated soon?

It would be nice to have a linkee to show off the magnitude of the accomplishment: it's a 110 Member Association with no one home to update the site?

They haven't posted the winners yet, but all final nominees are there.
Just glancing through that quickly, I'm surprised the DraftDominator was not a final nominee for the draft tool category. I haven't used the other products, but I have a hard time believing DD is not finalist worthy.

Good job guys !!!

We all love the content but more importantly, I like the fact you guys care about what your subscribers think and always look for ways to improve your content and formats ....

Congrats Kev

:goodposting: Rate My Team should have won too.

FBG was ROBBED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just saw this in the end of year email today, congrats David & Joe! This is well deserved. You guys have come a long way from the cheetsheets days to become the best fantasy site on the net bar none. I just wish there was a baseball equivalent.

I have a hard time beliving there's a better fantasy podcast than The Audible.
:kicksrock: Nothing I have heard is really even close.
Thanks for listening, and thanks for the kind words guys! :shrug:The Fantasy Sports Channel won for best podcast. The FSC features several different shows from many sites (including our Thursday night Audible LIVE! show) so in a roundabout way... we all won.
