I can't possibly imagine why people don't like Patriot fans.

Should the Patriots refuse to run the ball? No. Should they punt on first down? No. Should they fall avoid the endzone at all costs? No. But going for it on fourth down, when you're up by a HUGE margin and the distance is EASILY within your kickers range? Spin it however you'd like but that's running it up.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to run up the score. Pro Boston fans are correct-if the opposing team has a problem then they should stop it. But there is NO WAY any reasonable person can honestly look at the situation and say they have NOT run up the score.

Thanks, but I don't think people will need a link to this thread when they're reading this thread.A for effort though.
Hmm...I think I need to improve my use detection of sarcasm.
Either way, I've at least distracted you momentarily from the counter-whining. My mission is accomplished. No lasting effect, of course. The only things more predictable than the anti-Pats whining are the return volleys.

It IS enjoyable to watch sometimes, though. Continue with your thread collection - I'd hate to take you away too long from your important task.

Again, you'll note I am not saying the Patriots shouldn't be allowed to run up the score. They are well within their rights to do whatever they please within the rules of the game. But I do not understand how you could possibly disagree when I state the Patriots were running up the score in those two situations.

You know what would be awesome.... If the Pats go undefeated (except for the SB in which I want GB to win, but regardless) and the Dolphins go 0 for. That would be irony at it's best.

I should have elaborated - my apologies.I don't think there are a lot of people out there, even among the most ardent of Patriot fans, who would contend that they are not running up the score.

I for one would love a Packers v. Patriots Super Bowl match up.

It would be pretty neat, but it wouldn't be irony in any way.

It's not so much the Pats, it's the Boston fanbase, in general, that are as neurotic and annoying as any fans around.

There are 13 threads on the front page (not including the pinned game thread) with Pats/Brady/BB in the title. I clicked on a few other threads that has an ambiguous title and those too are Patriot threads.

15-16 threads on page one!

I think you underestimate the stupidity of most of the bandwagon hoppers that are Pats fans. Maybe you should read some of those threads you've linked. :hot:

Glad we're in agreement on at least one thing. I think why so many arguments are taking place is due to the fact Patriot fans are giving the impression they actually believe New England isn't running up the score. There are a few Patriot fans that have admitted they have been running up the score and those are the ones I respect.

This just in: stupid people are everywhere. Even in areas outside of New England.
