Contest: Pick three teams that miss the playoffs this year (2 Viewers)

Pick three teams, regardless of division or conference that won't be returning to the playoffs from last year. The prize: Bragging rights. That's all I have to offer.

Here are the teams from 2005:

AFC Divisional Winners:

Patriots, Cincy, Colts, Broncos

AFC Wildcards:

Steelers and Jaguars

NFC Divisional Winners:

Giants, Chicago, Tampa, Seattle

NFC Wildcards:

Carolina and Washington

Name 3 that won't make it. Tiebreaker: Name a 4th that won't make it.

Here are mine:

1. Washington

2. Tampa

3. Jaguars

Tiebreaker: Patriots
Steelers/Jags/SkinsTiebreaker: Pats

Tiebreaker Jags

Reading through our predictions, two things are apparent:

1. We really underestimated the Jaguars (on about 2/3 of the lists)

2. We really aren't very good at prognosticating. So far, the Jags or Chicago is on most lists.

Long season, we'll see.

Out of playoffs: Giants, Tampa, Washington, SteelersCould still miss: Jags, Broncos, Cincy, Carolina

Only ones definitely in: Colts, Patriots, Chicago, Seattle

1. Jacksonville - even a slightly tougher schedule ought to expose them2. NY Giants - very tough schedule ought to make it difficult for them3. Washington - QB troubles and injuries might cause them to stumble4. Cincinatti - see NYGiants5. Tampa - haven't won a game all season
Not too bad.

In fact, from reading some other threads here on tiebreakers, I can't come up with a single scenario where the Giants win on Saturday and still miss the playoffs.
