Cop Beat Down! (1 Viewer)

That is pretty awful the way those 2 testosterone muscled inflated hillbillies throw him to the ground. They asked him to get his hands behind his back, he's not going anywhere, just politely ask again, he's going to do it. Most people don't like to be told what to do.

I think this makes cops look bad. Everyone has a right to be treated as a human being. He didn't have any weapons. These 2 thugs just wanted to fight, seems obvious.

"politely" ask him lol. They asked him 50 times to do that and he never did. I call that "blouses..."

I'v seen good cops who deal with people who don't want to do something. If the cops had said in a calm voice "We are not gonna hurt you but for our own protection and yours we need to put these handcuffs on you and once we figure things out we'll move them to the front of you"...something along those lines would have worked fine.

It sounds like he says please sir or officer many many times. I hope he gets a nice payday.

So basically dont do what the cops tell you to do, get a beat down and get paid. Got it.....

What I don't understand about the situation is both cops outweigh the guy by 100lbs and are physically stronger as shown by the rear naked choke hold take down at the start of the video. Why not just physically hold him and handcuff him? Seems easier than beating him with a club.

Why didnt the black dude in the blue shirt help him? Or was he a cop too?

Looks like that in todays society. Anyway to make an unearned buck!

Sometimes I wish I was a criminal who took a 5 minute beating so I could sue for millions.
Worked out real well for that homeless guy.

All cops should have to wear video cameras on their uniforms to record their behavior. Some towns have instituted that and police brutality has dropped off the map in those areas.

Those cops should be fired at a minimum. I think in order to correct this, which seems to be sytemic, at some point you have to start trying these guys for battery.

There, I just saved 25 pages of database space. Can we all go home now?

The way I see it, everybody takes a beating some time.

As a Lt. in charge of around 50 officers in a major urban police force told me in a moment of candor one night: "Half of my officers would be in jail if they werent cops."

These are always hard to watch, but I don't have much sympathy for this guy. I can understand where it may be difficult to follow orders while you are getting beaten, but there were definitely breaks in the action here where the cops were giving him a chance to comply.

The guy doesnt follow directions very well lol
Having been in a couple of situations with Detroit police when I was younger. I found that the best thing to stay healthy was to comply and do what they ask me. First of all the guy says "Don`t talk to me that way" then he won`t put his hands behind his back. The guy had it coming.

When I was 19 my buddy got arrested, I went to the station in Detroit to bail him out, they said I had to wait 2 hours. The cops behind the counter were being total smart asses. When I turned around to walk out I was looking at the one cop. Who then said to me..WTH are you looking at? Or course I replied with a FU! Next thing I knew 4-5 cops tackled me and dragged me out the front door station while landing punches all over my face and body. They threw me outside. I tell my dad what happened and he said "You had it coming" Hoped you learned a lesson.

Oh that is so sweet. Hey Mr. Criminal if you would kindly put your hands behind your back we law enforcement officers would greatly appreciate it. Never mind they deal with these lying conniving scumbags everyday of their working life. The problem with society today is that there is not enough of this. You would be begging these guys to beat on some dude who was breaking into your house or harming your family. Note to beat up dude. If a Law Enforcement Officer asks you to roll on your stomach and put your hands behind your back, you do exactly that.

You have a good father.

"used excessive force against a man at a Salvation Army halfway house."

They beat up a homeless guy? wtf

Oh I'm sorry you don't have a home, obviously we should give you a pass. From now on all homeless people will be exempt from obeying the law.

Yeah the guy should have complied, but you can't tell me those 2 corn fed cops couldn't have easily grabbed and overpowered that little guy. There was no need for the relentless beating.

The reactionary right wing are often thrilled to see police beating down someone, whether deserved or not. Excessive use of force makes them feel safe. Especially when the person being beaten is part of a minority, ... black, Hispanic or gay do the trick. "Law n' Order" they say! As long as it is not them being beaten.

Might as well not cheat yourself if someone is going to be dumb...

Tends to make me feel all "warm and fuzzy" lol

I said the reactionary right wing loves to see minorities in a police beat down. Makes them feel safe.. Warm and fuzzy said one of them. Something unclear there?

And the reactionary left wing will be playing the race card before you know it.

It goes both ways.

Both sides suck.

Well, for one you do not know what "reactionary" means. Secondly, the race card was played by the police beat down. One side sucks. The one that supports police brutality and excessive force to keep poor people in their place. Still unclear about what is unclear in these comments.

I enjoy a good whitey beat down by the cops just as much. They usually do not get as much press though.

In Detroit last year a motorist led the cops on a wild chase that ended with 6-7 Cops beating the crap out of this guy while a news helicopter filmed it all. The story was hardly covered in the Metro-Detroit area and got zero national attention. Then I realized is was black cops putting a beat down on a black motorist...nobody cared.
