I haven't watched many movies over the last few years.  I have about 100 hours of flying coming up for work over next few months.  Looking for some good recent action movies to pass the time.  The more guns and car scenes the better.

If you can stand subtitles (and frankly you don't need them, there is really no plot) The Raid: Redemption and The Raid 2.   Just balls-out action.

Wind River was fantastic.   The Town and Hell or High Water right up there.

Well, it's a cops and robbers movie with action in it, so I thought it fit the bill.  It's also a really good movie, so the OP should check it out, even if it isn't strictly an action car chase movie.

I’d say these are the best straight up action movies I’ve seen in awhile. Plot: he needs to kill people, result: lots of people get killed. 

Very good movie to switch your mind off.

The Kingsman would be my next selection. It’s more like an updated James Bond.

   Yes, this is a great action movie.

Well, it's a cops and robbers movie with action in it, so I thought it fit the bill.  It's also a really good movie, so the OP should check it out, even if it isn't strictly an action car chase movie.

I agree he should- it's a good movie. He just said the more the guns and car scenes the better, so I am picturing him wanting Fast and Furious 7.

Not quite as good, but still well worth it.  I thought they were working on 3 as well, but it's been awhile.

Slightly different, but I all but guarantee (#### it, I GAR-RON-TEE it), Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (both Guy Ritchie joints) will check the boxes and then some.

Great movies all around - and fun as ####.

Definitely worth it. 

They're Indonesian films but the subtitles aren't too necessary because they are both non stop action.

This movie was awesome!   I just installed  new speakers and the music was intense. I'm not sure if my setup needs tweaking because the center channel seemed a touch low. The dialogue  and grunts/fist landings seemed a little drowned out with the music.

Some good fight scenes in Raid 2, but not as good as Raid:Redemption.
