Could FBG's IBL reign be over ? (1 Viewer)

If the VP is such a VIP maybe we should keep the PC on the QT because if it gets leaked to the VC he could end up MIA and then we'd all be put on KP.

it was only a matter of time since they left me off this year :football:
What is this?Who represented FBGs?
If it's the league I believe it is, it's a 60-team InterBoard Challenge consisting of 12 teams from each of 5 boards, FBG, Warroom, FFT, the Huddle, and FantasySportsWire. There are 5 copies of each player and 5 different drafts. Between the 5 drafts each board will have a team with the #1 pick, a team with the #2 pick, etc. An interesting take on it is that you can trade picks to and from teams in other drafts. For example, when I did it, I was looking to take a player in my draft in round 12, and looking in another draft he was still there at 14. So I traded a 13 and picks for the 14 and picks and not only got my guy I thought needed to be taken with a 12, but also got some other improvement at other picks for doing it.You play every other team in the regular season except teams from your board, and then IIRC you have 3 round-robin playoffs where you gain points for each win for your board.I did it in 2004 but then dropped out to free up time for a new dynasty league I was starting up. FBG's won it in 2003 and I guess this means we won it in 2005 again. Didn't win it the year I played. (Hey, I held up my end in 2004, made the top tier and had the 2nd best FBG record behind Cobalt Cruisin'!)

It's funny that you say that because I used to be an active member at FSW before coming here, and their side of the story was that they always won ;) .

Thanks for clairification. I vaugely remember this from 2003.If FBGs lost you CC and joffer that explains much....

We won it last year but this year we started off slow and never really made a push.

I ended up 29-19 and in tier 1 but honostly a lot of it is with smoke and mirrors as I didn't have some of the big gun running backs like Lt2, LJ, Tiki or S. Jackson.

This draft took place right before the news about D. Davis was out and I ended up taking him early to mid 2nd round which obviously hurt but the steal of the draft IMO was me getting FWP at 3.10 and really my saving grace to a lot of close wins.

FFT up 49 games ( 8 tier 1 4 tier 2 ) :boxing: FFT IBL era has officially begun ! :D
This league has certainly gone downhill this year :) (it's Aaron's fault)
:goodposting: here was my draft:1.07 RB Rudi Johnson2.06 RB Willis McGahee3.07 WR Hines Ward4.06 RB Reuben Droughns5.07 WR Deion Branch6.06 WR Eddie Kennison7.07 WR Drew Bennett8.06 QB Jake Delhomme9.07 WR Antonio Bryant10.06 WR Keyshawn Johnson11.07 QB Ben Roethlisberger12.06 TE Jerramy Stevensrest of the picks really didn't matter.I got nothing from my TEs all year, and didn't have any breakout guys. I'm still a little surprised this team performed as poorly as it did though.

You know Aaron, that's not a horrible draft and I can see why you took those players in the spots you did. Rudi really didn't do all that great. Reuben Droughns certainly looked like some value at 4.06 but didn't do squat this year. Deion, Eddie and Drew may have had a game or two but certainly you couldn't ride them to anything this season. Delhomme is overall a disappointment in fantasy football this year. Antonio Bryant and Keyshawn.........bleh although Keyshawn was decent early on. Big Ben's been the better FF QB as of late for you but easily could have been benched as a coaching mistake with Delhomme on the team and you're right, your TE's were just bad.Again, I had a similar team to this in another league and I recently went over my draft in thinking why I just didn't do well. And basically just a pick here or there could have made the difference. I mean, if you take Drew Brees instead of Delhomme or a handful of difference receivers in the 5,6, and 7th round you could at least have had a .500 team. LOL, next year!!!
