Broncos | Pierce a Trade Candidate?Wed, 31 Aug 2005 17:11:48 -0700The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos LB Terry Pierce has reportedly been the subject of some trade talk. Tom
Anybody is better the Rob Morris IMO. While I dont think Pierce is the prototypical LB in the Dungy 2, he would certainly be a good addition to the team.

The issue with this speculation is why would the Broncos of all teams help out the Colts right now, especially after they have gotten blown out by them in the playoffs on a regular basis of late. Though with Shanny, who knows though I don't see it happening to the Colts at this point.

There are several teams out there that could use a MLB and I think this trade talk might have some legs. Not sure where Pierce might be traded, but he is suppose to play the whole game tonight. Sounds to me like he is being showcased for the Broncos potential trade partner.
Pierce comments from the Broncos website:"I don't think it's (important) in terms of my long-term future here," he said. "I think it's just a game in terms of my future, period. I've just got to go out and perform as well as I can, whether or not I'm going to be traded or what's going to happen, I've still got to play the best that I can play."Sounds like Pierce even thinks he is about to be traded. If Pierce falls into a nice situation it will be significant for those of us in deep IDP leagues.
LinkI'm stunned that the Titans would trade him to a division rival. Colts fans are fainting everywhere that Polian picked up a starting DL and an MLB in the same week.
Brackett starts the season at MLB...if Calmus makes the grade I see him in there by Week 4 or 5but I've got to believe Calmus has lost a step or two (or three)...no way does Fisher let him go to a division rival if he has anything left. The guy who gets the big bump here is MLB Kasell in Tenn IMHO
