I'm not going to say that Carolina would have won the game without the bad calls, but the refs took away any chance Carolina had of pulling off the comeback in this game. This is now the third game against Dallas where the officials have made a horrible call (or two, in this case) that screwed over the Panthers. In fact, I even said before the game that I expected a bad call to give Dallas the win*.

*For the record, I rarely ever complain about the refs because for the most part they do a good job. It just seems that every Carolina/Dallas game is decided by bad calls.

Oh well, not like Carolina is going to turn this season around, since even after a bye week, they didn't realize that the idiotic read option play-calling is the downfall of the offense. It's so plainly obvious to everyone who watches the games, but they continue to run it over and over. It's not hard for the opponent to know you're running the ball when you get them a two second headstart.

If you believe in process over outcome, how could this win feel good? They look like ####. Even between the last two plays, Spencer is jerking off 30 yards from the LOS after the sack, COMPLETELY UNAWARE of the fact that CAR is lining up for a hail mary play. It's stupidity like this that irritates me beyond description.

RB Jonathan Stewart started the game, while FB Mike Tolbert played almost every snap when Stewart wasn't in. Through six games this season, Williams has just 173 yards rushing. When asked about Williams' lack of playing time after the game, head coach Ron Rivera said, "A lot of it had to do with personnel. We trade off based on personnel."

Later when asked why he gave a carry to a three legged dog, Rivera said "that was what we thought gave us the best chance at that time."

What a mess, fantasy wasteland as far as RB's and WR's go. Maybe QB too.
