Cowboys D (1 Viewer)

With SJax downgraded and Marshall very iffy with the flu making Arlen freakin' Harris the probable starter, do the Cowboys vault to a top D this week? I mean, Martin is good for 2 picks if he was playing against my 2 fat Aunts as CB's. Also, the Cowboys figure to run at will, have a lead, force the Rams to play catchup, which should mean sacks, picks and TD return opps. My only fear is that they have not been very good against the pass the past few weeks, but that was against better teams, on the road. They are at home, 12+ point favorites, and should roll with JJ and Barber. Thoughts?

On the radio, a guy rattled off teams that will know their fate before gametime. It annoyed me because he included obvious ones like the 49ers(of course they would).....anyhow, I'd swear the Boys were on his list. Don't they play at 8:30 and if the Skins win they're in, Boys are out?It may be a preseason game by the time 8:30 comes

Dallas will know whether they can make the playoffs before the game starts.I am not sold on the Dallas D this week. St.L has averaged a lot of points and a lot of passing yards this year. Dallas' secondary is banged up. This game is much more likely to be a trackmeet than a slugfest. I see it as something like 28-24 Cowboys.

If they could only put up 20 vs. the Niners at home, what makes you think they can put up more than that vs. Dallas on the road? Dallas D has been soft lately, but they've played tough games (CAR/Wash) on the road. At home vs. the Rams is the cure. I'll always take a D when I'm pretty confident that the offense will dominate via the run. Boys should dominate time of possession. No running game with Harris should mean Martin is erratic at best. If he throws 40 times, I'm betting on 3 picks for sure, plus a bunch of sacks.
