Needed a WR because of Eddie Royals inj. After reading my daily e-mail of sleepers from FBG's, I saw that Craig Davis was rated solid. So I typed in his name to see if he's available and there's no Craig Davis. There IS a Buster Davis in SD, but really didnt want to take a chance and get the wrong guy. After a little research I found that they are indeed the same guy. NFL has him as Craig. FBG's have him as Craig. Yahoo has him listed as Buster. I kind of like the name Buster better. Any idea where this discrepency comes from?

Cool. I can see the other managers in my league. 16 team pay league, been together 10 years now, saying "Buster Davis? Who?"Lets hope his upside goes thru. I dont think I need the points, but pride is a powerful fuel for smack in the league.

Now that we are all aware that Craig Davis' nickname is Buster, can we get on to his prospects?

He's a 2007 first rounder that moved his way into the #3 WR role. Looks like he'll get a chance to start this weekend due to injuries. Is there something to see here in dynasty leagues? Will he be the hot pickup next week?

Davis started the first few games last year. Then SD traded for Chris Chambers, which bumped Davis down to the 3rd WR spot. His value is dependent on how badly Chris Chambers is hurt, and the Chargers have not been very forthcoming about that. Chambers is likely out this week, so Davis should get a start, whether he'll get more is unclear. If he's not starting, he holds little to no value. If he is, then he'll be the third or fourth option in the offense after Gates, Jackson, and LT2, so his upside is limited.

All of whom are dealing with some sort of injury. If Davis doesn't take advantage of this opportunity and produce, it may be awhile before he gets another one this good.
