Craps strategies (2 Viewers)

hey now, dice setting could actually be a thing.  i was disappointed he didn't discuss that more.
A couple years back at the Luxor bubble craps machine. Crazy eyed dude is there when we arrive. He has a superstitious routine and for some reason he can roll numbers galore so I'm trying to figure out what the hell he's doing. He's staring at the dice as the bounce and I determine that he hits the button when he can count a seven on the dice in the upward position. I suck at rolling on a real table. Tried the dice setting thing along with other routines. Nothing works for me. I decide, I'll try this because my randomly pressing the button is getting me nowhere. As soon as I can count a 7, I press the button. Later in the day, 30 rolls before crapping out followed up with a dude doing the same thing behind me. 30 rolls also. Then the guy after him, 40 rolls. Then a couple people not paying attention 7 out quickly and its back to the crazy dude. Another session later in the week before flying out, ended up a winner for the 1st time ever at LV. Far tougher when the machine rolls the dice itself every 25 seconds like clockwork. You can't get a truer roll than that. Those machines I place the numbers and lay the numbers randomly which has yet to fail but it's slow as molasses since I don't bet every roll. I'm wait for a situation to occur. For instance, Back to back 10's equals a bet against 10.

Figured this is good to bump for us Vegas attendees this week.
Play poker instead? You're going to see some real woeful #### with how hammered people will be, especially if they've been day-drinking throughout the tourney. I saw two different dudes intentionally expose their hands in one weekend a couple months back there.

I know this post is 8 years old but has me curious. Those dice jiggle so fast, not sure how you even see it. Even if you can, with the number of combinations that make 7, I don’t get the advantage.

I wonder if you could rig some glasses with a camera + machine vision to alert you when a 7 was shown up... I would love to work on such a device.

Wait a sec, the craps bubble machine doesn't pay out at the same odds as the tables. Or at least didn't last time I saw one. Much worse payout for the same rolls.

Really? I thought it was just a limit on the backup odds for a pass line (or don't pass line) bet. Otherwise payouts for making the point, buying a number, one roll bets, etc. was standard.

I still don’t get why it would work. Dice setting I believe “works” because advanced throwers can sometimes bounce the dice in such a way that they don’t bounce around as much? I don’t think anyone ever sets them on 7. For bubble you are essentially saying the opposite?

I do enjoy the bubble machines and the even smaller individual craps (we call them “canister” craps because there’s more action at lower limits. Headed to Vegas next weekend and am willing to try anything lol
