Crayton's peers (1 Viewer)

I haven't been able to fathom a guess yet, so I thought I'd throw this to the sharks.

If you had to rank a few (3-5) receivers just ahead of Crayton and a few (3-5) just below him, who would they be? What company is he in, who would be the last guy you'd cut to add him, and who is the worst player you'd rather have.

I am in the same boat. I need to set my Receivers for this weekend and I have Crayton as an option. Trying to figure out where to place him from this list . . . Santana MossMark ClaytonSantonio HolmesVincent Jacksonbased on the entire season (assuming he starts) - I would say he's at the bottom of this list, with maybe a ceiling of above Jackson. But for this weekend, maybe above Holmes?

I think probably ahead of Vincent Jackson but below Holmes, so we're on the same page, but I'd be curious to hear a more qualified opinion.

As far as overall rankings, I wouldn't put necessarily put him ahead of any of those guys. I'd put him in the same range is V. Jackson, and below the others. I'd put him somewhere around WR 35-40, but with upside. On the one hand you think he's never been able to beat out Glenn for that job, but on the other he's in a position that was productive last year and you never know what a younger player does with the opportunity. To give you another comparison, in two start 3 WR leagues (12 and 14 teams), I dropped Brandon Jones and Wes Welker to pick him up.

I think that a similar receiver would be Curry. Curry will probably get more targets, but Crayton is in a better offense.

I'd put him behind Curry but I think 55/750/6 is a realistic expectation of Crayton given his production last season with much, much less opportunity than he'll see this year. That would put him around WR35. Behind guys like Jennings, Curry, Kennison, Marshall but just ahead of guys like Hackett, Stallworth, Curtis, Henderson and Porter..... though I don't have much seperating most of them.

What are your projections for Curry? He is talented, but that QB situation scares me.

I'm no expert by any means but I like Curry for 65/800/6 this year.... like I said no a whole lot separating the group but Curry has so much less competition and if the raiders are bad this year(insert your own joke here) they'll likely be passing the ball a lot. I also think the raider QB situation this season is light years ahead of where they were last year. If you asked me to take the raider QB's of the last two season as a group and rank them I'd take Pep/McCown/Russel before Brooks and he was their "best" qb last season.
