Credit Card Question (1 Viewer)

NewlyRetired

Footballguy
My wife and I share a credit card account. On our cards we each have the same CC number and same 3 digit CVV number.

My card has started to fail when being used at store terminals so we ordered a new one.

The new card came with the same full CC number, but a different 3 digit CVV.

Can the same credit card number have two different CVV's associated with it?

In the system your name is also linked

Meaning the key is

Name on Card, Card #, CVV

It should be fine.

I will say that's how we stored information.

It's why sites asked for Name as shown on card.

But that was a long time ago so I could be completely wrong ;)
