Cribbs v. Hester (1 Viewer)

and now you are saying that 17, count them 17, 1.06 tackles a game, makes up the gap of Hester's 4 more TDs on the year
No, i'm saying that the ~450 return yards Cribbs had over Hester + those 17 solo tackles (which represent the best ST coverage man the Browns had last year) cover that gap.Edit: SI has him aat 16 solo and 3 assists, another site had him at 17 and 3- either way that puts him tied for 5th or 6th in the league for ST tackles.

OK that's really all I need to know.and just cause I can never let things go, if Hester received the same amount of kickoff opps that Cribbs did, and on each one he got just his average, 21.7 yards (which we can all admit is the absolute low side given his abilities), Hester would have had 347 more kick return yards on the year. Again, that's not breaking a single one out of 16 returns.

The reason Cribbs average on Kick Returns is better is because of all the Squib/Short Kick-Offs that Hester fielded meaning less Return Yards and a lower average then a regular Kick Off......is it really that hard to figure out?

Anyone that thinks Cribbs is a better returner or more valuable to their team is a moron plain and simple.

Did you read the thread? Agree or disagree but some points have been made that a lot better than saying anyone who disagrees is a moron plain and simple. This place is often about proving things with stats or other factual based arguments. Name calling is counter productive.

I have read the thread....any arguments for Cribbs are flawed as no one is considering all the short Kickoffs that Hester fielded....I watched every Bears game last season. Must just be jaded Browns fans with too much time on their hands to even think that Cribbs is better.Oh those TD's too....guess they dont mean much....I'd much rather have 17 tackles.....get real.

If your doing this you ahve to take away ~180 yrds in punt returns as well since Hester had 12 more of those.

Can't you make points without being a jerk?Quit being a tool.TIA

Well I won my KR league. 1 seed, hi points, best record. every payable prize! I dominated!

I took Cribbs over Hester anyday! Cribbs was my KR!

Like the thread tries to explain there is so many varibles figured in on the argument.

Cribbs is a far better KR from a fantasy standpoint simply because he gets more chances. His Draft value last round vs Hester low mid round last year at least. they don't kick away from him as much. Browns D couldn;t force many punts last year is why his PR chances was down. Not because he's afraid! But it all equals out and bottom line Cribbs was by far the better KR in any KR yardage leagues.

I agree Hester is better on paper. But when the opponets are kicking the ball into Lake Michigan to make sure he can;t return it I stay away from him and let others worry if he will get any chances each week! And let others waste an early pick thinking they are getting the best KR when there not. haha

:excited:

If you come back after your week is up, turn the tool factor WAY down. J

Hester is the best returner in terms of scoring capability, so opposing teams play keep away. Cribbs isn't quite as dangerous, so opposing teams don't play keep away and so he gets more opportunities and yardage.

The end result is pretty cut and dried: Hester is a better scoring return man, Cribbs is a better yardage return man.
