Culpepper signs with Lions (1 Viewer)

There sure are a lot of Lions QB threads floating around this place. It's funny reading so many posts about how "Orlovsky is clearly not the answer", "Stanton should be playing now", and "Culpepper is an improvement and will be starting in three or four weeks". The fact still remains, nobody will look good or be an improvement behind that line, and if any of these prognostications come true, we will be reading posts like "Culpepper clearly is washed up", or "Stanton was a waste of a pick, he's awful".

Orlovsky has done nothing to lose the starting gig. If he had a halfway decent line, he could put up just as good, or better numbers than C-Pep or Stanton could. There are a lot worse problems with the Lions than their QB situation.

I don't get the hate. He can't be worse than their other QB options. :hot:
because he's a fatheaded jackass, an attention whore, and a ####ty qb.

Thank you. The guy threw for nearly 5,000 yards in 2004. That's absurd.Again, I don't understand this thread. He's an upgrade, and if he starts he has the potential to be deadly with a guy like CJ2 in the mix. (Shame Roy still isn't there, that could be absolutely scary).
In addition to that, has anyone actually seen any numbers yet? The guy has produced in the NFL and maybe, just maybe, the Lions signed him to a decent contract and can concentrate on the many other needs for their team in hopes that a 31 year old QB with a solid resume can provide decent production there for the next few years.
