Well Oakland jumped up and bit SD this past weekend.Very interested in this as I hate the crapshoot that is streaming D's. Well, I didn't mind it before but it's much tougher now that almost everyone does this.
In my leagues if you're not high on the waiver order you're probably not getting that sexy 1-week defense that's playing the Jags or Oakland.
Have the Broncos and would love to keep them, but they have a tough schedule coming up. Started out the season with the Texans, and the comments in here are making me wonder whether I should try to ride them for the rest of the season.
As far as the OP, the Lions and incredibly the Eagles seem to be legit at the moment.
Plus upcoming opponents: CHI, SD, DEN, GB, DET = cuttable.NE is fading. The loss of mayo is big on stopping the run.

Agree.Starting the Texans every week and not thinking twice about it. Watt alone gets points and as rickyg pointed out before, this is before Clowney gets on the other side.
At this point I wouldn't trade them for Seattle or Cinci even. Still have Steelers, Jags, and 2 Titans games on the schedule
I've got HOU in a couple leagues, but I'm not expecting them to remain a must start all year. We've already seen multiple defenses go from must start to droppable and it's only week 7. I'm still planning to stream as the season moves along.Agree.Starting the Texans every week and not thinking twice about it. I got them off the wire a few weeks ago and I'm not looking at matchups anymore, just going to ride this out.Does Detroit belong on this list?
They don't face many good QB's and are getting Clowney back. Barring any injuries to their defense I'd start them every week.I've got HOU in a couple leagues, but I'm not expecting them to remain a must start all year. Same here, although very concerned that the Saints are going to put up some major points tomorrow.I got them off the wire a few weeks ago and I'm not looking at matchups anymore, just going to ride this out.Does Detroit belong on this list?
You should be. The past 6 seasons brees has averaged 4 tds coming off the bye. And 2 of those games were on the road. Pretty sure no is going to win tomorrowSame here, although very concerned that the Saints are going to put up some major points tomorrow.I got them off the wire a few weeks ago and I'm not looking at matchups anymore, just going to ride this out.Does Detroit belong on this list?
This is the most complete Detroit D I've seen in the last 30 years. If you aren't convinced, check out the tasty playoff schedule of TB, Min, @ Chicago. They are an absolute keeper at this point.ponchsox said:Does Detroit belong on this list?
If you notice, all DSTs are pretty closely ranked on their top 200 in FP scored. Don't read too closely into that as a barometer.FBGs has CHI DST ranked extremely high in their top 200 ,moving forward. Anyone see any reason or validity to this?
The next two weeks - today at home vs. NO and next week on the road at Atlanta - will truly show whether they are elite IMO.This is the most complete Detroit D I've seen in the last 30 years. Those are true tests for sure but I wouldn't abandon ship either way. They stop the run and it gets a lot easier to pass defend on third and longs with that front 4. They are not a product of the competition. The next two weeks - today at home vs. NO and next week on the road at Atlanta - will truly show whether they are elite IMO.This is the most complete Detroit D I've seen in the last 30 years. 35 FA moves? Try only having 9 all season in a 12 team league. Yep, I'm already out of moves.Like many others I drafted HOU D (as a streamer) for their 1st 4 games. Can't drop them now since I held them thru Romo/Luck and they did great vs those two top tier Offenses (was a tough decision to start them at the time). JJ (MVP) Watt will not be going back to the FA pool. Nothing really scares me on the schedule until week 15 @IND and by that time the entire league will be different than it is now so IND might not be healthy or HOU might not so I would have moved on, but I am willing to hang on to them for now.
Note that my league does not account for yards in scoring and we only get 35 FA moves per season, so since I normally stream this frees up 10-16 FA extra roster moves I would have spent on streaming D so that is very helpful in landing me a few gems already this season. With those two things considered and the fact that Clowney is returning soon there isn't all that many D I would take over this one, certainly not any on the wire.
Besides I can't remember the last time I was more excited to watch a team defense play. Usually its painful and I prefer it when the D comes off the field so I know they cannot be scored on, but I prefer this D to be on the field because Watt is in the game. I compared my buddies team D scoring vs Hou scoring as a barometer and Hou is outscoring his streamers by a decent margin this year. He has been landing some good streamers to, the same teams I would be starting if I needed a streamer.
They should feast on that Atlanta offensive line. Ryan won't have any time to throw. The next two weeks - today at home vs. NO and next week on the road at Atlanta - will truly show whether they are elite IMO.This is the most complete Detroit D I've seen in the last 30 years.
