D.Hester ? (1 Viewer)

In return yardage leagues he is gettinng around WR3 numbers. Last week's drop in PT hurt though. In non-return leagues, probably not worth rostering unless your league is very deep.

Hester is generating a lot of buzz in chi-town this offseason. Could this be the year?

Coach Lovie Smith said that Devin Hester will "be a huge part of the offense" and has named him the starting flanker.

They say that every year. If he was going to big a good receiver, he would've done it by now. Just coach speak.
I would say you are probably correct, but the Brandon Lloyd emergence makes me hesitate just a bit...

Two weeks ago Martz said the same thing about Bennett. I guess Johnny Knox gets the treatment next week.

If you read the article you can see all the qualifiers. Ifs ,ands and buts. Just coach speak.

The last line says it all.........

“Now we will make sure he is fresh,” Martz said. “We’ll never take away from his special-teams role. But when he’s rested, he’ll be in there because he’s too good a player.”

I think what he said about Bennett was that he was the starting "slot" WR. So slot and flanker are set, with Roy Williams and Knox battling for the other spot. I think Williams wins that job. They don't seem to keen on Knox and supposedly he was to blame for quite a few INTs last season.

I honestly would not pay attention to anything coming from Bears management or coaching. They are playing darts in the dark. I'm embarrassed to be a fan of this team.

Hester is awful. The only two WRs on this team that could start anywhere else in the league are Williams and Knox and even those two could probably only start for the Browns. It's so completely pathetic.
