Can anyone that is watching let us know how he looked? Was it one long run or did he just look good on all four carries. Any info would help.

Thanks

I don't want to say that it isn't good, but to level your expectations...that is against the seahawks 2nd and 3rd string defensive players.

he looked real fast and hit the right hole on each run

and he picked up a third down blitz nicely in the red zone... of course, Walter whiffed on the pass

In other news, TJ Duckett went 11-71 and 2 TDs and some guy named A. Aldridge ran for 110 yards. Bump them up to the 3rd round!

<_<

hits the hole quick....legs look like a sprinters, but lowers the shoulder. I'm not sold he's the next AP....I could easily be wrong.

He does not need to be...completly different running styles and body types. He will be Mcfadden, a sure fire star player in the NFL.

I don't why some people have to be a useless pile
I think he is trying to make a point about preseason week 4 numbers against 3rd and 4th stringers. Week 4 of preseason is as meaningless as it gets in most cases.
Couldn't agree more. However, it is nice to see him finish his runs, regardless of who he plays.

It kinda made me think Kiffin went up to him and tonight just said "Do your thing" as to where in the first week he told him to run up the gut. I really think Kiffin was prepping him for situations until last night.

I watched the game and thought he looked good

Hard to bring down, keeps moving the pile, and yes it was against 2nd team, but even so 24 yard run looked very good.

A couple of things caught my eye on those two runs, first he carried about 5 defenders with him at the end of his first big run and the legs didn't go dead on contact and he picked up an extra 6-7 yards dragging players on his back and secondly I see alot of lateral movement on both of the big runs. He has picked up blitzes and made his blocks very well this preseason, in that aspect he looks like a veteran.

Yeah, it's good to see he's not a total wimp like his detractors make him out to be. That said, I don't think this is going to be his strength. But, with how good he is in other areas, I don't think it needs to be in order for him to be a star. There aare plenty of guys who can "break tackles" in the NFL much better than him but they have so little wiggle and such little elusivenss they're always hurt or dinged up. (see Ronnie Brown, Brandon Jacobs)

2 great runs

See:

1:23 and 1:59

Choose the 3:18 video from below saying the Raiders/Seahawks score.
Looked reminiscent of, dare I say, Marcus Allen?
That's been my favorite compare for the last two years. He is Marcus Allen with jets.
As a lifelong Raider and Marcus fan, I don't see it. He may look like him physically, but Marcus had incredible body control, and top shelf football skills. He was very hard to get a direct hit on (like Emmit) and may have been the best pass catching RB talent ever. If he would have been on the 49ers during the 80's, he would have caught 800 balls. DMc looks like an athlete first and foremost and at this point seems to lack great body control. I just watched him catch a short screen, and run into the back of his blocker. Marcus didn't do that even as a rook. His greatness was way more obvious at this same point.

Signed, guy who wants DMc to be great.

I think he looked very good, as he has all pre-season, to the extent that the Raiders would be nuts to give either Huggy Bear Jr. or Bush any significant amount of touches at this guy's expense.

Acquire.

He looked like he was in a time warp compared to other players. He looked freakin fast, like he could take one all the way on any particular play.

The run where he hit the hole on the right side was impressive. Difference between 4.3 and 4.5 speed is a guy that gets through that hole as opposed to the guy that just makes it to the hole and gets tackled.

Well I can't argue with you about that, as I've hardly seen him play. That was just my impression based on the highlights.

i love the preseason hype. DMAC is going WAY too high in drafts. RBBC with huggy jr.
Stating that he looked very good and explosive doesn't mean people are necessarily taking him too high. I don't think he'll up on my roster because I'm targeting specific other players around his ADP, but there are plenty of good reasons that the Raiders drafted him so high. People are only acknowledging those talents.

Yes, but neither of those guys is McFadden.Yes, it's a special situation, fourth week of preseason. No, what McFadden does against those players shouldn't carry a lot of weight. But it's still McFadden, a guy who lots of folks are scouting currrently.
