Man, this guy is really off his ####in rocker

Dallas Braden isn't finished with Alex Rodriguez. The A's pitcher who challenged A-Rod after the Yankees superstar crossed his mound returning to first base after a foul ball was asked by a CSN reporter if he and Rodriguez would have to "settle (it) with knuckles," meaning a fight."There's things that are going to have to happen," Braden told CSN Bay Area reporter Mychael Urban on Wednesday. "Out of respect to my teammates, out of respect to the game."I think he's probably garnered a new respect for the unwritten rules and people who hold them close to their game. But I think you're right, we don't do much talking in the 209 (an area-code reference to Stockton, Calif., where Braden went to high school)."WATCH THE INTERVIEWAfter the April 22 incident in Oakland, Rodriguez questioned such behavior coming from a pitcher with so few wins in his career (16 at the time).Asked about that, Braden told Urban, "There's two ways that I can comment on that, and I'll give you both of them."One, I was always told if you give a fool enough rope, he'll hang himself, and with those comments, he had all the rope he needed. Two, I didn't know that there was a criteria in order to compete against A-Rod. I didn't know that. ..."For him to feel that someone needs to reach a certain level of success in order to be able to compete against him, I think he should probably check that."Braden continued, "I'm not a fan of his antics. Obviously what he displayed wasn't the first display of his lack of respect for the game or those playing it. So that never sat well with me."He's an individualistic player. ... He plays for the name on the back of the jersey, not the front. I don't know if he's noticed, but he doesn't have a name on the back over there, he should play for the name on the front a little more."The teams play again in Oakland on July 5-7.

Non-issue imo. Someone was egging him on, asking questions.
He's still making it an issue, IMO. Now he HAS to throw at Alex, if he doesn't he's just a big ##### and a loudmouth. He has no choice but to back up all of his talk. Even moreso now with his perfect game, I think he's allowed to compete with Rodriguez. :lmao:

They're BOTH still making it an issue. The other day ARod was asked about it and said something along the lines of at least Braden now has his 15 minutes of fame.

I loved him on Baseball Tonight. They asked him if he snapped because there was a previous history between Braden and ARod. His response: If my grandma ran across the mound she would have heard about it.:bow:I have a man crush on Dallas Braden.
Grandma had her say about it today:
After Braden's historic accomplishment, others have joined the fray, adding even more fuel to the fire."Let's forget it, uh huh -- and stick it, A-Rod," said Braden's grandmother, a chuckling Peggy Lindsey, who was in the stands in Oakland watching.
:lmao: ARod even has grandmothers talking trash to him.

Well, I guess 15 minutes of fame is better than an eternity of asterisks.
