ohhh I didn't know that. That makes sense then.I think that also means he can’t be on the sidelines to help Rush during the games.

That reads as "get lost MoP"Think about the Year when the Colts were without Peyton Manning and ended up getting the top pick in the Draft, and Miami was a player for the No 1 pick until Tony Sporano won a couple games and still was let go towards the end of the season. Miami missed out on Andrew Luck. I understand Luck didn't last forever but he was a pretty good QB for a while until injuries caught up with him.
This could be similar. Dak is the starting QB but injuries catch up with him, you bring in a new QB with a better pedigree and better arm, you'll go places.
Miami is going to find out they are limited by Tua this year, even with all this talent they have put around him to succeed.
It’s super weird that youre monopolizing the thread with your fantasy on replacing the quarterback that the Cowboys are all in on.
It’s not happening, it doesn’t make sense financially or from the teams standpoint.
It’s week 2.
You don’t have to leave it’s just weird that you want to go so in depth over something that isn’t realistic nor in my opinion a very good idea. I heard 8 weeks from doctors and 3-4 weeks from Jerry, I know who I believe and also I feel rushing back from a hand injury is not wise for a QB, especially on his throwing arm.
I have read and liked a lot of posts in here, appreciate @General Malaise detailing his POV, doesn't make me feel any different about my suggestions for the Cowboys.
Miami is going thru the same thing with Tua, we don't really know what we have. But we are going to be very competitive this year and we might hit the Playoffs and we still won't know if Tua is the right QB or not after Year 3. Maybe I am projecting SB22, but I find a lot of similarities in the teams.
Keep an open mind is all I'm suggesting

I agree that his game seems to have changed. I thought the broken ankle which was horrific looking, I thought when he returned that it was agreed upon he would stay in the pocket more. You want to see Dak use his legs and mobility more? I have to share that while I love Josh Allen's abilities, it looks like it's just a matter of time until he gets popped in a way that something bad could happen. He's been bulletproof so far.You don’t have to leave it’s just weird that you want to go so in depth over something that isn’t realistic nor in my opinion a very good idea. Every team in the league would struggle without their starting quarterback if they’re on a rookie deal or not.
If you want to discuss something that’s relevant and that’s just as unlikely to happen, discuss how the are trying to force Prescott to be a pocket passer instead of utilizing his strengths as a runner.
This team should be a runner first team with minimal passing, strong special teams and a great defense. A few more mean big mast is on the office of line and they would be in great shape.
But they won’t do that. They’re not gonna go from the number one offense in the league on paper to smash mouth.
These are good questions , let's wait and see what happens with Cooper Rush over the next few weeks. I assume you are not planning a win vs Cinci but then you might have a 2-0 Giants team waiting for you. I could see Dallas starting off 0-4 right now and then boarding a plane to go face the Rams. That reads as "get lost MoP"Think about the Year when the Colts were without Peyton Manning and ended up getting the top pick in the Draft, and Miami was a player for the No 1 pick until Tony Sporano won a couple games and still was let go towards the end of the season. But it sounds like even if they have a losing season and end up with a high pick, QB is not an option.
I'm not in favor of moving on from Dak. I think he's solid. But that OL is a problem. I don't think any QB is performing at a high level with that line. Also not impressed with their WRs at the moment. CeeDee can't do it alone. I get that injuries have a lot to do with their current lot in life, but it's telling that they haven't developed some legit depth at that position.
Dak can pass. It doesnt mean you make him do it 35 times a game, I dont care what era were in. He is a very good passer, sometimes capable of a amazing pass. He can win games they just need to not ask him to be Aaron Rodgers.
He doesn't fit the SF Off that Mike McD brought over. I'm not saying Chase Edmonds is a better RB, just the way this Offense is set up, can't see that trade happening. These are good questions , let's wait and see what happens with Cooper Rush over the next few weeks. QB shouldn't be an option, unless they are in a position to trade the pick for more picks. It's awfully early to be writing the obit on a team, though I was not encouraged in the slightest by what I saw, save for the defense which misses Randy Gregory quite a bit, it seems.
But given your rather bleak scenario where they are 0-4 and heading to LAR (which isn't far fetched at all) they should consider trading Zeke, though I have a hard time envisioning any team taking on that contract. A team like Miami could improve drastically with a legit RB and should have some draft capital left, no?

I think Kareem Hunt is. a much better fit and have been vocal in the Miami thread to trade for him.
And the NFL took away Miami's 1st Rd pick next year to punish Stephen Ross for cheating, the fan base must suffer of course. The good news is we hold San Fran 1st in '23 Draft.

A differing opinion can be voiced and I'm not the only one who thinks this. Media pundits, those on TV like Dan Orlovsky, maybe check his First Take on Monday, he painted a bleak picture and I understand ESPN fills his pockets to make for interesting television.
Are you planning on cutting him? Because they can’t just cut him and then that’s that financially lol
But it sounds like even if they have a losing season and end up with a high pick, QB is not an option.
What do you think Dallas could get for him? 7th season and was thought to be on the decline.

Then you have the contract which still has 4 yrs and $50M left on it. Whoever trades for him can simply release him in the off season or perhaps pay him $10M next year and know that you are never paying out the last 2 years at $15m and $16M or whatever those figures are.
So Zeke is mostly a rental for this season and I would ask what does that fetch in return? I don't know the answer is but it's probably a lot less than Dallas would want for him.
He's worth the most to Dallas than almost any other team. I'm trying to think of a good spot or team for him, with Baltimore such a mess, they could clear the field and make it Dobbins and Zeke, just run over everyone with Jackson at QB, especially when the weather turns and it's cold.
The Chiefs?
ThisThe Oline would be far better off if they didnt have to pass so much, especially when they pass theyre almost exclusively in the shotgun. They're too predictable with what has essentially been the same exact passing system since Drew Bledsoe payed for them. Zeke was running well but the OC had to prove how smart he is.
You know what happens when you assume?I assume you are not planning a win vs Cinci

Correct. I would be very very surprised.
They have a much better chance of winning than is commonly expected. The key to it all is getting to Burrow. The Cincy o line looked bad last week.Eh, it’s the NFL, any given Sunday and all that. You know what happens when you assume?I assume you are not planning a win vs Cinci

This defense is for real. And Rush isn’t a bum. I think they have a great chance to win

Didn't they cut Cooper Rush before signing him to the practice squad?

After they move other players to IR and have space they bring other players back to the 53
I’m not saying Rush is a great QBs, just that he’s not a terrible QB![]()

He's a good little backup QB on a horrific football team.
I can’t see a way he’s fantasy relevant this year barring 4 wrs getting hurtJalen Tolbert was a WR that I thought could surprise this year. So far the only surprise is that he's been inactive the first 2 games. Any reason to hold out hope for him in redraft? It's seems pretty bad if he can't even dress with this WR room.
So does Dak get his job back from Rush
This. The NFL doesn’t get that good defenses can be just as if not more fun than high octane offenses.Micah Parsons is amazing and fun to watch. At least with Dak out I still get to enjoy that game in and game out, and I can be pleasantly surprised at wins I don't expect!
I mean you have to play Dak.So does Dak get his job back from Rush
I mean, week 5 seemed like the latest he'd be back, after they didn't put him on IR.I mean you have to play Dak.So does Dak get his job back from Rush
Jerry just said today that he wont' play next week but might play week 4!??! Wild if true.
Doesn’t play special teamsCant believe Tolbert hasn't even dressed out for a game yet.
He’s been dominant. We got another stud.Tyler still makes me nervous. Looks like he is just getting away with holds at times.
I respectfully disagree and in fact, the improvement I see - is how he now positions and uses his hands.Tyler still makes me nervous. Looks like he is just getting away with holds at times.
Im good with that. I just think he gets his hand on the back of the guy he is blocking too much, gunna get called at times. Love that he can just maul anyone in the run game.I respectfully disagree and in fact, the improvement I see - is how he now positions and uses his hands.Tyler still makes me nervous. He still has work to do, but the improvement compared to his college tape is significant.

AgreedDo not waste a big dollar contract on Schultz. Our 2 rookie TE’s and LT were awesome last night (aside from the penalties).
Ferguson and Hendershot were awesome in the run game. Made some great catches too. Gotta stay in bounds though son.
I will admit I hated the Ferguson pick at the time. I will freely admit whenI get it wrong. This draft has been a pleasant surprise.

Oh, and how about Cooper Rush so far?
