Dallas Cowboys website down? (1 Viewer)

I think it's been hijacked. It popped up for a second, then immediately disappeared and some "pageinxt.com" webpage came up in its place.

That's not what is coming up for me. The page remains as "dallascowboys.com". The site is hosted by "Network Solutions" and has an icon in the top right. But, the web addy is not changing and does not look funny. And my search function is working just fine for everything else. I'm able to pull up other team sites very easily as well.

Loaded just fine for me. At this point there are a few people who have said they don't have a problem accessing the site, so I would guess you have some kind of spyware infection that is redirecting occasional web queries. Run a Spybot scan.

pageinxt.com is some site from Iran, doesn't really fit.

Last I looked, theplanet hosted Cowboys site. They're top notch as far as hosting goes.

Try 'Malware Bytes Anti-malware" program

FWIW, I read some Twitter feeds earlier today from some ESPN and NFLN analysts that said the site was down for a chunk of today.

The Cowboys did indeed forget to renew their domain registration. :lmao:

If there's any confusion-cowboys.com (article links to dallascowboys.com) mentioned, dallascowboys.com is what I assumed from OP.
The link in the PFT article is the same link I referred to: dallascowboys.com or www.dallascowboys.com
see I goofed. You're right the LINK is correct, the WORDS are not. GeeshPasting:

Three years ago, the Dallas Cowboys tried to expand their web presence by acquiring the "Cowboys.com" domain name.

The only problem? The Cowboys thought they'd secured it for $275, but in reality the price was $275,000.

Now, the day after one of the most embarrassing losses in franchise history, the Cowboys are missing out on the spike in traffic that would have occurred at DallasCowboys.com, given the firing of coach Wade Phillips. As it turns out, someone allowed the registration of the domain name to expire. Though the Cowboys will have an opportunity to rectify the situation before someone else can squat on the site, the address currently points to the Network Solutions website.

Bottom line? It looks like someone other that Wade should be providing a "vivid example of accountability" today.

*************

See so why would Florio even go down this "they thought it was 275 but it was 275k road" if they didn't even have the winning bid? Plus they clearly did bid 275000 so....oy, research Florio research!

jeesh. I never check dallascowboys.com but after reading this thread i went there. the dallascowboys.com went up fine for me, but then after 3 seconds it immediately pointed to generic Network Solutions as pageinxt or something. either that site is hijacked or i'm being fed malware. something's going on there, still.

Thanks, I have performed anti-spyware/anti-malware scans and nothing was found (with multiple programs), but oddly enough, today the domain comes up as the Network Solutions page most others are seeing and not the pageinxt.com that showed up yesterday.

i'm sure all of us wished that, in the short time before the Cowboys brass quickly renewed the domain name, one of us could have swooped in and bought it. I would have loved to negotiate with Jerry Jones on selling back the domain.
