I'm on... Saints giving up 20+ ppg, usually more.. game in the dome, Saints with nothing to play... high scoring affair...

Dan O

250 passing 2 TD including a long bomb to Calvin

May not be many better QBs this week

And for what its worth

i won in 2005 with Josh McCown in the finals.. Peyton Manning on the bench (Colts were resting their starters).. Scrubs can win it for you!

per rotoworld.....

ESPN's Rachel Nichols reports that Dan Orlovsky will play through the flu Sunday against New Orleans.

Orlovsky isn't in danger of missing the start and is active, but the sickness could affect his play some. The Lions are at home against New Orleans Sunday.

Are you concerned that the flu bug he has may make him perform poorly or get him yanked or he will yank himself? Reported on another thread per ESPN that he was up all night with a bug. I am close to benching Warner for Danny O but not so sure now after this news. Any more on this?

He's reportedly battling the flu today but f' it I'm still starting him. He's been solid and the matchup is too damn good.

I'm on board.

From ProFootballtalk.comFLU BUG HITS THE LIONSPosted by Mike Florio on 12/21/08, 11:41 a.m. In a season that has prompted many of their fans to blow chunks, several Lions players are literally doing the same.Per ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, several Lions players are suffering from the flu, including quarterback Dan Orlovsky.According to Adam Schefter of NFLN, quarterback Daunte Culpepper has been deactivated with a shoulder injury, so Orlovsky will get the start.Orlovsky told Nichols that the fact that players have the flu will make it a better story when they beat the Saints to avoid going 0-15.Wow, Orlovsky is suffering from hallucinations, too.Thoughts????

Michael Jordan had a great game in the Finals with the FLu. Dan O is on that level.. he is a winner and will come through

Orlovsky blows chunks all night, rallies the Lions to their first win of 2008. I may be delusional, but it sounds like the perfect script.I can see the headline now:Book 'Em, Dan-O!Lions 38, Saints 34. :boxing:

I'm not buying that the flu is a good thing.... Might start Tarvaris over Warner now. Wasn't even thrilled with Danny O before the flu thing came out.

I'm going Dan O over Rivers and Orton. Need an upside play and I feel like he has the best shot at 250 and a couple long TDs.

The flu thing is not making feel very confident.... but I picked him up off waivers to start him so I'm not turning back now.

Orlovsky over Warner and Eli here.Put me in the unconfident, indecisive, biting my fingernails all game boat.
The way I see it, at worst we get a lot of garbage yardage and a TD at the end of a blowout.I benched Cassel, don't feel great, but at this point, I don't want to suffer the same fate as D. Anderson and Brady owners had last year in a horrible week 15 weather conditions.

He had a 50-yard TD to Johnson called back on a bad penalty and then he missed Johnson on a short td pass.

in full disclosure (as the thread starter)

common sense got to me and I started McNabb... so I am off the Train. but good luck to everyone here!

Can't be worse than Warner.. benching Cassel.. not so smart

May have over-coached myself on this one. Rivers 201 yards, 2 TDs at halftime. Dan O 78 yards, 2 INTs.That 40 yard touchdown to CJ that got called back would have made me feel a little better.... but this isn't looking good.

Still think it was better to bench Warner for him. Warner may not be back, DanO will be throwing against prevent defense whole 2nd half perhaps?
