When did he go back on the air? I know there are a lot of haters here, but you HAVE TO admit that he is better than the dreck they have tried to replace him with on ESPN radio.

 
He's been on the air here in MD (Sportstalk9.80) for months.

Im not a big Dan Patrick fan. He's boring and dry. I usually like dry, but he's the white guy black comedians make fun of kinda white.

That, and he talks about baseball too much for my taste.

 
Get Patrick and Olberman back on SportsCenter where they belong, each had flopped on their own.

 
The Dan Patrick Show has been revived effective October 1; the Content Factory produces the show while national sales and syndication is handled by Premiere Radio Networks. The program is primarily heard on outlets owned by Clear Channel. XM Satellite Radio will pick up the last two hours of the show on January 21, 2008, paired with The Tony Kornheiser Show.

Dan Patrick has been on 670 The Score in Chicago for a few months. But, his show doesn't come on until late at night.

Flopped? The Dan Patrick show did quite well on ESPN radio and he was huge at ESPN even after Sports Center.And I think Olberman almost enjoys the political stuff more than the sports.

Agree. I looked at the above post as "Tirico Greater than Patrick." I like DP a lot and miss the show. I thought his dry humor with Phil the Showkiller was starting to really gel.

Did The Showkiller make the switch as well or is he with Tirico now? I stopped listening after DP left.

:useless: Patrick's a total waste of airspace. ESPN's best day was when he left.

Ummm...no.their lineup of Cowherd, Tirico, and Stephen A is terrible.far worse than back in the day of Tony, Patrick...and so on. Or even when Eric K was doing the 3 (central) pm hour after Patrick was far greater than this crapass lineup now.I like Tirico ok...not great...but ok.
 
Dan Patrick is a radio PERSONALITY. As in he has one. Tirico, as I described him earlier, has none. He is boring and bland.

Patrick IS funny. He is bright. He is witty. And yes, self indulgent, as is his right when it is his show. Olbermann too is extremely bright and opinionated. Both Patrick and Olbermann cause camps to form - either for or against. Mike "Tapioca" Tirico is the safest, most boring radio "host" on the planet.

...the funniest thing to me in this thread is Cobalt. He never fails to disappoint while taking up with the less thoughtful camp.

 
DP runs hot and cold. Some shows are classics, others are frakin' terrible.

Loved his bit - Dan Patrick sings rap tunes. LMAO every time.

Tirico is pretty bland. And Michele Trafoya as the sidekick? What marketing geniuses came up with this one?

"DP" was the absolute worst thing on radio. Ever. He pulled out the same stupid shtick time and time again. He always tried to play the part of the contrarian just to make up for his abysmal lack of anything interesting to say. The only thing that ever saved him were his cohorts around him (Dibbs, Olberman, show killer). Count your blessings that he's virtually vanished from the airwaves because you were all losing brain cells with every moment he occupied a moment of your attention.

Great interview with Pat Tillman's widow mother about the cover-up. A very eye opening and heart breaking interview.

Been watching the Dan Patrick Show now and again. late night when I can't sleep. Got it on direTV these days...

Didn't really get all the hate before, but watching him now I can see, pretty annoying and comes off arrogant.

I absolutely detest the way he used to call every single athlete by their nickname. I know its petty but it was like he was trying way to hard to fit into the looker room or something.

 
They way he has to call on his "Danettes" before they're allowed to contribute to the conversation is annoying. "Yes, Fritzy."

Because their in this weird limbo of being on the show, but not really. So if they're allowed to speak, let them speak and have them be a part of the show, like any other anchor duo/group out there. If they aren't allowed to speak because they might talk over all the golden nuggets that Dan drops, like how great he is at playing horse, then let him monologue for the whole show.
 
I really like his interviews in print form, but I find him to be too big of a suckup when I listen to them on the radio. It's as if his primary motivation is for us to believe he is best friends with all of these athletes/celebrities.

Right, it comes off condescending, the professor/pupil thing. Give me a break, treating your employees/friends like that, what a dooosh. Even if it was shtick, and it isn't, it's clear what he thinks of himself. Strutting around the studio, taking swings or shots like he's this natural, he's DAN, and he IS the MAN. The whole thing is hilarious actually, it'll keep me watching another week or so for kicks.And yeah, calling his cohorts "The Danette's" has got to be the douchiest thing ever. Even if one of the sidekicks came up with that, how could "DAN" go with it? Such a tool. So many of them are, the more you see of them.
