I've never been a big Dan Patrick fan, but I'd always listen to him because, well, it's sports.
Anyways, a couple of years ago when Mike Tice was the coach of the Vikings, Patrick had him on his show.
DP started the interview by basically ripping Tice and the Vikes organization for all of the team's recent problems and the trading of Randy Moss... DP went straight for the throat from the beginning.
Tice really impressed me (hard to beleive). He didn't get worked up and instead of giving "coach speak", he truthfully answered everything DP threw at him and kinda left DP speechless.
Then it got really ugly, I guess DP figured his line of questioning would rile Tice up, but when it didn't he started attacking him personally. He started cracking "pencil behind the ear" jokes and making fun of him as being a big old oaf ex-lineman becoming a coach...
The situation got really akward. Tice was getting upset, but kept himself calm. Once DP started acting like an ###, Tice just responded with quick "yes" and "no" answers.
One of the wierdest interviews I've ever heard. It seemed more like DP was going for the "Springer" effect, than actual journalism. Ever since then, I rarely listen to the show; lost all respect for him right there.
