I think his playing time decreases because of injury concerns. Last week he was a surprise weapon that the Rams used against a formidable (at least reputation-wise) opponent. This week they should be able to win without him. This isn't the Marty Gilyard prediction thread. He'll probably have around 3 catches for 40 yards this week
So, who's gonna catch the balls this week ?The other scrubs WRs ?I think his playing time decreases because of injury concerns. Every report has Alexander being fine, with some expected soreness. Every NFL player is sore during the week. Also, the Rams haven't won a road game all year, so I think it's a little early to casually dismiss this a game they should be able to win with minimal difficulty.I think his playing time decreases because of injury concerns. Yeah, I thought that comment was pretty strange. There are people already taking Rams wins for granted? Seriously? This is the RAMS we're talking about here. Make room. There's no room to fit this guy into my lineup, but he's moved all the way up to my #1 alternate. Go Danario, go!

You're doing a fantastic job of blending shtick with information. Big fan of your work in general, but especially this thread.6-91-1YWIA
This guy has more knee repairs then recalls issued by Toyota on their cars. Otis is killing it all up in here.I can't speak for others, but ftr here's how I felt:1. Thought he was way overrated. Thought he would be good but not worth the hype. Didn't have him in my top 3.Quick question. Of all you guys going ABSOLUTELY insane over Danario Alexander: how many of you:
1.) Got caught in the ridiculous Jermichael Finley Hype.
2.) Proclaimed Arian Foster as a Top 5 dynasty back after Week 1.
3.) Thought Jahvid Best was the second-coming of Jesus Christ.
People have been making some pretty irrational decisions this season. Not saying that this is one of them but take a chill pill everyone.
I think there are MANY better examples than these to make your point....Quick question. Of all you guys going ABSOLUTELY insane over Danario Alexander: how many of you:

Comon guys, one good week. And then this? I understand his potential but immediately plugging him in over respectable and consistent WRs is a little much. I think this is a stash and see for a week or so to see if he can recreat the same numbers. I added him from the waivers so it's not like I'm not a believer, but all this is a little much.
Not everyone has been saying who they are starting him over, but starting him nonetheless. I can't imagine most fantasy teams don't have a more reliable and proven option for their WR2/3 spot is my point. Also, some owner stated he dropped Manningham for him, which I think is a little much at this point. I may get bashed, but I think this is a wait and see, not a start and pray.Comon guys, one good week. And then this? I dropped Manningham for him. Before last week's game. You can't simply wait and see if a player will be good before you pick him up...for those of us with winning records, our ww position means we need to act in advance. And who would be a "reliable" #2 wr? Really, I'd play Danario over just about anyone...because you have to figure somebody is going to catch the ball, and I'd much rather gamble with the player who can be the #1 wr for his team and put up a big week than somebody who is going to give me a bland and steady 60 yards. Not everyone has been saying who they are starting him over, but starting him nonetheless. Speak for yourself. I have Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson all on a bye this week. I would be perfectly fine with all these guys as my starters (given a healthy Finley) as long as I had DX starting for me at WR.Quick question. Of all you guys going ABSOLUTELY insane over Danario Alexander: how many of you:

1) Finley has been rostered since last Season 2) Ben Tate was drafted like 3rd overall (Foster actually lasted until top of 2nd) <-- same person who snagged TateQuick question. Of all you guys going ABSOLUTELY insane over Danario Alexander: how many of you:

You bring up some valid points, but I'll never understand this logic. Phases of the game feed off each other and Jackson having success on the ground helps Alexander through sustained drives, more time in the RZ and increased effectiveness of the play action. Jackson getting 25 carries in this game would be a GOOD thing for Alexander. Not an argument against. The buccaneers are just terrible vs the run (their defense isnt really good in general) this will be a steven jackson 25-30 touch game.
I'm not concerned about his route running. Looked versatile in college. Skeptics were downgrading Maclin for playing in the spread offense, but he had no trouble adapting to the NFL. I would expect the same of Alexander. His only flaw is the injury history. In every other respect, he has Calvin type skills.i'm gonna ask him again about the route tree because i've seen Cecil and a couple posters in here say that is his weaknessand yet pretty sure he said not 20 minutes ago that there "wasn't any part of the route tree that was off limits"i'm gonna ask him if that he meant the Mizzou spread route tree or a pro-set NFL route tree
asked him to be more specific about route runninghe said there is no physical route that Danario would have problems with, he could see issues if it was an ultra complex option-route type offense but even then with Danario's work ethic he was confident that injury issues would be the only thing that could hold him back from being a standout playerI'm not concerned about his route running. Sorry Otis, even with as many due props you have been given in this thread, it is not crazy that some people are not as high on him at this point in time as you. It doesn't make us "water breathers" just because we don't completely agree with your viewpoint, as much as it doesn't make you one for disagreeing with mine.Danario is not "respectable" now?Lots of water breathers in here today...
