Daniel Thomas and Reggie Banged up (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld.com reported that Reggie Bush is still dealing with pain in his knee that he took a helmet to a few weeks ago.

Rotoworld.com also reported Daniel Thomas is dealing with another head injury that he sustained in Sunday's game. That would be 2 concussions in less than a month so word is that he will have to sit out for multiple games.

In my opinion, Miller has the ability and opportunity to produce at a very high level.

Bush may have pain, but he also had 21 touches yesterday and gets two weeks to recover after Week 6. Would expect him to go as normal this week unless he's actually injured.

I would be a little wary of Reggie this week but fully expect him to come out healthy after the bye and have a nice stretch run like last year - it is clear he is the best weapon the Fins have and DT/Miller are way behind.

Based on what, all the things he has done in the NFL?

Looking at the box, Miller had no carries last game (week 5). I have read that at this time the Dolphin coaching staff doesn't trust him fully with the playbook or his pass protection. His carries have trended down from 10-9-4-0 from Weeks 2 - 5, which tends to support the report that Dolphin staff don't trust him. I agree he has ability, though -- 5.5 YPC average right now. Here's a story about Miller's (and Thomas') productivity in the game that Bush left early due to injury: http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/09/24/3017823/miami-dolphins-daniel-thomas-lamar.html

I think he's worth being watch listed in shallower leagues or those with small benches. Worth a stash in deep leagues or those with large benches.

DAVIE, Fla.—The Dolphins have temporarily lost faith in rookie running back Lamar Miller, who didn't play a single offensive snap in Sunday's win over Cincinnati.

But now, they may have no choice.

Daniel Thomas left Sunday's game with an injury and was evaluated for his second concussion in just five weeks. It's unknown at this time if Thomas did, in fact, suffer a concussion.

Thomas didn't return to Sunday's game and was not seen at the team's facility during media availability Monday. Given that Thomas' concussion in Week 1, which he said was first of his career, kept him out the following game, he could be looking at an extended break based on the league's strict guidelines.

The Dolphins haven't been thrilled with Miller's awareness so far. His pass blocking hasn't been up to par, and he didn't hear an audible two weeks ago against the Jets and ran the wrong way on a handoff.

He played just two special teams snaps against the Bengals.

The Dolphins may need Thomas desperately this Sunday against the Rams. Reggie Bush still isn't 100 percent with a knee bruise suffered two weeks ago, and Jorvorskie Lane was stuffed for minus-5 yards on two carries last week, with a lost fumble.

Miller has 126 rushing yards and a touchdown with a 5.5-yard per carry average this season.

Miller will be good for 50 yards and maybe a cheap td. There is a lot worse out there that people are picking up this week!

I understand the dislike in his pass protection, missing an audible, but the dude runs really well and there has to be room for him to get 5-10 touches a game. He's looked sharp when he is running and had a couple really nice long runs. The way the OL is working they likely can get him loose and into the secondary on a few runs.

MOP did you notice if Bush looked different as a result of the knee hampering him? My hunch is that he wants to stay on the field in his contract year, but 2 straight subpar games in a row can't be just coincidence.

He's averaging something like 3.4 YPC in his last two games, he's clearly hurting. My biggest fear, if I were an owner, would be that he succumbs to some type of injury due to overcompensation (hip injury directly after knee injury may have been a result of this). Regardless of Miller's rawness, all Bush owners need to handcuff him asap.

I think you might enjoy the Mia-Cinci game thread from Sunday. I made a lot of comments in the thread.

His best game was against a horrible Raiders defense which accounted for over half of his yards year to date. I wouldn't get too excited.
