Daniel Thomas not on the charter flight to San Diego (1 Viewer)

Jeff Darlington from down here in Miami is reporting Daniel Thomas is not on the plane and neither is Vontae Davis...that stinks. I don't think Reggie Bush is a great option, I would expect Miami to try and throw the ball a lot in this game so guys like Bess and Hartline might be good plays this week as WR3 types, flex options where you can start a RB or a WR.

On 2nd thought maybe they will throw the ball a lot and that could mean good things for Bush if they don't overuse him in the run game where he is likely to break down quicker.

Bush owner,non-PPR, re-draft here. About to drop him but pulled back after reading this. I hope he is used extensively and gets in the EZ so I can deal him for more than a bag of chips.

Same exact situation here. Can the Dolphins please use him better? Of his 27 runs this year, 16 of them have been in the A Gap. Not the correct way to use Bush. Can we see some tosses, sweeps, and screens? Maybe a shovel pass?

Reggie is in the FBG top20 this morning for RBs...in PPR I can see it but understand the Dolphins have no red zone offense right now. I can see him racking up 4-5 catches, 50-75 total yds, less than 30% chance he can score a rushing TD, low side would be 8-10 points in PPR, maybe 15-17 on the high side if he can break one.

Same OC that was in Cleveland last year so I'm guessing "No".

:suds: Here's to Reggie blowing up in his home town!! I think he's at least a flex start in PPR this week.

Am I crazy for considering starting Bush over Sproles, non-ppr? He is after all returning home, which is a great point.

I guess no one in these boards thinks slaton is worth tiddly ??? just hard to believe that a guy who was a former star for his rook season, gets serious neck injury loses his job, 3 years later at 25, he is feeling good and ready to play. A shaky, inj prone Bush is the only back in his way of getting touches in a MIA offense that is able to get 2 15 touch rbs, as certainly bush can't handle 25, Bush can handle 10-15. Slaton 15-17

I guess it depends on how much of the playbook Slaton is able to pick up. I mean, after all, he was just signed this week and hasn't carried the rock all year.

I traded Thomas along with Decker and Jimmy Graham for Miles Austin and Vernon Davis 2 days ago. Timing is everything.

Some Slaton news.

http://www.sun-senti...0,2933712.story

On the challenge for getting Steve Slaton ready on a short week and a West Coast trip: "Well, I mean the challenge is just the terminology. We (will) be flipping the terminology more than anything else. I mean the running back, obviously they know how to run and I think most of the things that you're running one way or the other they've seen before. It isn't something that they haven't run or haven't seen it's just what's it called and how do I get there. And I think that's the biggest challenge, you know, in a situation when you get a player and you're putting him on a plane and taking him cross country in three days."

On Steve Slaton's work this week encouraging for him to play Sunday: "Yeah, it sure has. He was able to jump in there on day one and he took a few plays and was able to take a few plays here today so we'll see."

Running back Steve Slaton, signed Wednesday, said he has picked up the system well and is prepared to fill in for Thomas, who has 202 rushing yards over the past two games. Slaton has experience as a returner but said the Dolphins have only been working him at running back.

Steve Slaton - RB - Dolphins

Steve Slaton has reportedly "picked up the system well" since signing with the Dolphins on Wednesday.

With Daniel Thomas out with a hamstring injury, Slaton is expected to be active against the Chargers Sunday.

The question is, who is most likely to lead the NFL in receptions from the running back position in week 4? Sproles would be the only one you might put ahead of Bush odds-wise but he won't be on the field as much as Bush. When it comes to RB2's this week, it doesn't get much safer than Bush. Obviously, his ceiling is limited due to his small chance of scoring once let alone multiple times. Outside of the elite backs, in ppr, Bush has the best chance of putting up double digit fantasy points.

Forte. Guy is averaging 7 catches and 95 yards a game.

Yes, that is correct. Yards wasn't my point and I consider Forte one of the elite backs that I mentioned but yes Forte has as good or better chance at having the most receptions.
