Absolute STUDS as rookies. All selected in the first round from the same school. Could you imagine these 3 on the same team? How did Brian Kelly not win a Natty with these 3? Has this ever happened before? I could not think of any trio this dominant that was drafted in the first round.

Same college 5 years ago. LSU had 6 first round picks from their champs and Chase would have gone rd 1 had he been eligible. Burrow/JJ/Chase was just filthy.
7 1st rounders from that 2019 squad, 5 in 2020 (Burrow, Chaisson, Jefferson, Queen, Edwards-Helaire), 1 in 2021 (Chase), and 1 in 2022 (Stingley Jr.)

Alabama in the 2021 draft(Smith/Waddle) and Miami in the Sean Taylor/Winslow draft each had 6 players go in round one in a single draft.

The year before that Alabama team had 4 go in round one, so 10 over a 2 year period. Guessing that might put that Bama team from like 2019 as team with most first round picks from the same team.

Greatest collection of NFL talent I’ve even seen on a college field at the same time was when Alabama played LSU in 2011. Those teams had a combined 31 starters from those teams get drafted. It duped me on Trent Richardson, felt like if he could do it in a game like that I was basically watching him vs NFL players.

2001 Miami team is the most unbelievable collection of talent that I have seen. RB room that included Frank Gore, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee and Najee Davenport. Andre Johnson and Roscoe Parrish at WR. Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow at TE. Bryant McKinney on the OL. Then the likes of Sean Taylor and Ed Reed at safety. Jonathon Vilma and Vince Wilfork, plus 4 CBs that played in the NFL.

LSU fan here.........it's easy, defense. It was probably the worst LSU defense I've ever seen sans the Lou Tepper version in the late 90's. They were nasty but the Burrow, Chase and JJ version was better. The state has produced some unreal WR talent the last 5 years.

I doubt there’s another example. Especially so quickly. It’s a pretty new phenomenon that rookies play so often and so well, especially at WR. It’s tough to even have 3 guys offensive pkayers taken in round 1 the same year from the same school. If you stretch it to include defense or spread over two years of a draft than you get some more options.

Those OSU WRs and Alabama WRs have been good but not this level of excellence.

Just doing some looking at NFL HOFers by college to see if I noticed anything. Nothing to fit the bill but I did see 2 interesting tidbits

- OK State only has 2 members of the NFL HOF and as we know they both coincidentally happened to be at the school at the same time playing the same position

- From 1980-1984, each year there was a USC player taken in the top 10 of the draft and they landed in the Hall of Fame. Munoz, Lott, Allen, Matthews. So that 1979 team did feature 4 future 1st round picks and future Hall of Famers.
