Games are still going on, how can you grab him now. What kind of league allows WW pickup during the gameWelcome back to the IDP scene, Karlos!
8 solos and 2 sacks through 3 QTRs... time to grab him off the wire if there -- I just did!![]()

I have one league that is first come first serve. Makes it interesting for the guys that can watch a lot of games. A few years ago when Freddy T. tore his groin in like week two, I was at buddies house and he ran and got on the computer before Taylor hit the ground. Makes for interesting Sundays.Games are still going on, how can you grab him now. What kind of league allows WW pickup during the gameWelcome back to the IDP scene, Karlos!

Yep -- Yahoo league... so long as a player is on the wire, you can drop a player who's not currently in your starting line up on the spot.I have one league that is first come first serve. He has had injury issues and been working back into the rotation slowly. Why he racked up the numbers yesterday I don't know, but Pace moved into his SLB and was supposed to be solid there. I didn't get to watch the game or I would expand further since it was against KC.mektarus said:Pardon my ignorance, but has Dansby been out of the lineup prior to this week?
BUMP!According to the gamebook on nfl.com, dansby did not start. I am not feeling totally safe with him right now. At least not safe enough to dump ernie sims or kerry rhodes for him.
Karlos Dansby still got the bulk of his snaps against Kansas City in nickel defensive situations last week. Nearly every tackle Dansby made came in clear passing situations, and there were many of those (38 passing attempts to 19 non QB rushes) after the Chiefs fell behind quickly. Gerald Hayes continues to see time in the nickel defense, but was somewhat sabotaged by the solid play of his own defensive line, who were credited with tackles on nearly half of Chief running plays. Hayes was also competing for tackles in the nickel defense with SS Adrian Wilson, who lined up as an extra linebacker while the Cards used two other safeties (Aaron Francisco and Robert Griffith) in deep coverage and only three defensive linemen in an interesting 3-3-5 look. Dansby clearly showed he can handle a full game’s work and repeat his 2005 production, so it’s only a matter of time before he regains his starting role. That could be at WLB, as the coaches remain pleased with the job Calvin Pace is doing at SLB. If Dansby is available in any league, he’s obviously a must grab although he remains a risky fantasy option until he’s confirmed as a starter in Arizona. Gerald Hayes should rebound; it’s unlikely that the Cardinals will regularly get out to 14 point leads and have their nickel personnel play most of the game.BUMP!According to the gamebook on nfl.com, dansby did not start. Welcome to the forum.anyone think hes a good play this MNF against Chi....he should see a lot more snaps
He also looked good in coverage on Bernard Berrian. You read correctly. He also FLEW to stop TJones on a short pass. He's most definitely back.FYIThe Bears opened in a 3 WR set and the Cards played their 4-3-3 nickel package (two backers -- Dansby/Hayes -- and 3 safeties with Wilson up at the LOS). The second play was a 2 WR set and Dansby stayed in the game. He's played the entire second series as well. All snaps have been on the strong side. He's back.
Yes, he played on all downs and in every situation. Looks to be a full time player again after getting the majority of the snaps the week before too. After watching Orlando Huff's pitiful performance on the weak side last night and knowing that the Cards seemed to have a lot of love for Pace on the strong side, you have to wonder if Dansby may end up on the weak side at some point in the season.Much of Dansby's production has come in nickel situations/passing downs over the past two games so he may be a little inconsistent. Certainly looked good last night though.ETA: I'm pretty sure he was one of the last players beaten by Devin Hester in punt coverage last night, too.I watched most of the game, and I was having a hard time telling what % of the time Dansby was in (although I admit I got into the game and kind of forgot to keep tabs). Is he back to a full time guy? Are we sure he's out of Denny's doghouse (is anyone on that team out of the doghouse after last night's debacle?)?I have to decide if I'm starting Dansby or searching the WW with some of my better LBs on a bye this week, so any additional info is much appreciated.
Oct 18 Darren Urban, of the East Valley Tribune, reports Arizona Cardinals OLB Karlos Dansby is now the team's starting strong side linebacker heading into Week 7.from kffl
