Darren Sharper (1 Viewer)

Thru the first two games, Sharper hasn't done much. I know he is a big-play type safety, but I'm disappointed because he doesn't seem to get many tackles. Some sites list him as a SS, while others list him as a FS. I'm in a tackle-heavy league, and have Sharper on my bench. I'm thinking about dumping him for Sean Jones. Looks like Jones has a lock on the SS position, and has had 2 pretty good games. Thoughts?

I dropped him... for TB's Phillips.

He's always been a FS. In GB when we had Butler he had a lot of int's and it continued last year. Page could be a good sleeper later in the year. Pollard too. Harper is probably taken.

2 games does not make a season. Sharper ranks second among active players with 45 interceptions (Ty Law 46) and he leads the NFL since 2000 with 40.His role seems to change on a yearly basis, depending on the needs of the team, whether he's helping cover in the secondary or lining up closer to the LOS. With Dwight Smith being a solid coverage safety, I'd expect Sharper to be a solid tackle producer this year with minimal interceptions.
