drop wilson for scott?
Could be hey are sitting Wilson and are going to re-sign Scott because they have the short week playing the Bears on Thursday. Probably need to sign someone that knows the offense.drop wilson for scott?
.... and probably the other part about getting knocked out for the year too.ok, I was wrong about the 50 yd runhow much do you want to bet he breaks a 50 yd td in the first 5 min and then gets knocked out for the year?
Lovely. Maybe he'll return just in time to skip onto the field with Andre Brown and them both get re-injured in the process. What a nightmare.@MikeGarafolo
Giants RB David Wilson to get a second opinion on his injured neck. No timetable until then but could be a multi-week injury.
(I didn't jinx it, I said he'd score a TD and get hurt on the back-flip)
It kinda isI'm glad Inhabe Wilson but only because Inhave Brown as well. If I didnt have brown Inwould be tripping balls. Brown comes back week 10 vs Oakland. Till then ill ride the waiver hot guy and Wilson if he has a good matchup. Not bad for a 3rd round RB glad I didn't take him in the second like some people.
Not really... been a fan of Ellington's for awhile. Also I'd like to see the quote where I said he's "the next Jamaal Charles". Would you people stop putting words into my mouth? It's called comparing situations and player types. It's literally how every analyst ever evaluates a player. Hell, on the NFL Draft website they literally have a section that says "Closest NFL comparison". Just stop. I suppose Sigmund Bloom's also a moron for tweeting a comparison of Ellington and CJ?K?LOL -- now that Wilson's hurt, Khy has moved on in his search -- he's in another thread pimping Andre Ellington as "the next Jamaal Charles" and a player that's "gonna win people championships."
ProTip: There's only one Jamaal Charles, guy.
Yeah, that's terrible for a 3rd round pick. I don't know what he's thinking. Maybe the rounds in his leagues are 100 picks long or something, so if Wilson was pick 3.87, then it may have been a good pick, depending on your scoring system of course. It kinda isI'm glad Inhabe Wilson but only because Inhave Brown as well. If he's taking efficiency stats from a tiny sample size and extrapolating out to project 20 ppg moving forward from a 6th round committee RB in a terrible situation, then yeah he is a moron. But I'm guessing there's only one person doing that. Not really... been a fan of Ellington's for awhile. Also I'd like to see the quote where I said he's "the next Jamaal Charles". All I said in the Ellington thread is he's getting 10ppg right now in PPR on about 7 touches a game. If he got 20 touches a game is 20 points that crazy? Also Bloom has been talking up Ellington for Weeks now. You people are so ridiculous it blows my mind. We're on a fantasy friggin football forum, if we're not getting excited about player prospects and talking up players we like. Wtf is the point of posting here? I don't understand the point of reading only what you want to read and placing words in other peoples mouths just to make a big deal out of nothing. The whole Ellington is no Charles thing is just ridiculous. Before Peterson was Peterson, he was no Eric Dickerson. Before last season Spiller was no CJ?K etc etc. I can do this all day. People need to stop acting like players can't meet or exceed past players marks. For some reason saying a young player has the upside of <insert veteran here> is the most outlandish thing in the world. It's ridiculous. The whole point of fantasy is making judgments and hoping they're right. You guys that want to look at everything in hindsight are ridiculous. You're the same people that said Alfred Morris was "Nothing more than a 6th round talent".If he's taking efficiency stats from a tiny sample size and extrapolating out to project 20 ppg moving forward from a 6th round committee RB in a terrible situation, then yeah he is a moron. It's not really hyperbole spewing though. All I've ever really said is stuff like "Wilson's build is similar to Sanders, Faulk and Barber" which was stated when people we questioning his size as a potential issue. They're all from 5'8" and 200 lbs to 5'9" and 205lbs. It's not hyperbole. It's 100% accurate.I don't need any tips on Ellington man -- I took him in the 3rd where he fell in a few leagues. But he is what he is -- a huge longshot for any meaningful long term fantasy relevance. The relentless hyperbole spewing is beyond annoying and adds nothing of value to the board. Which is a shame, because unlike the typical T with T style imbeciles who people can just safely put on ignore, you seem like an intelligent dude who actually knows football.
I am with ya man completely.. which is why I usually just read stuff on the forums and do not post too often.. because it is almost pointless at times... and to play the devil's advocate here as I am always on the lookout for players like this guy (As I have rostered Julius Thomas, Pryor, Rivers, Keenan Allen, Denarius Moore, and Chiefs DEF.. turning all 3 of my teams into playoff contenders)... this news listed below is pretty important... basically unless Mendenhall gets hurts this guy will be limited every game... although he is still a strong flex play especially in PPR, and if Mendenhall goes down could definitely be a High #2 the rest of the way.. especially in PPR.. he definitely passes the eye ball test for me.. as he looked awesome vs my crappy panthers who have actually been pretty good against the runAll I said in the Ellington thread is he's getting 10ppg right now in PPR on about 7 touches a game. Here's a tip, Ellington was thought of by many as a 3rd round pick. He fell to the 6th round after having a hamstring issue during the combine and posting incredibly subpar numbers. Either way, I should have to justify how draft position means nothing with RBs. Ahmad Bradshaw and Alfred Morris were both examples of 6th round picks who out produced people drafted several rounds ahead of them.
Coach Bruce Arians envisions Andre Ellington as a 30-32 snap player going forward, and believes he doesn't have the body type to hold up over more.
Ellington is a pint-sized 5-foot-9, 199 pounds. If true, it caps Ellington's weekly upside as a FLEX play. Ellington played exactly 30 snaps in Sunday's win, his most of the season. For the year, he's played 106. Arians may believe Ellington is best suited by a snap count, but it will be hard to stick to if he keeps catching 3-4 passes per game and averaging more than six yards per rush. Ellington is the Cardinals' most talented runner, and worth an own in 12-team leagues. Oct 7 - 3:44 PM

David Wilson is headed for a second opinion on his injured neck.
He may be droppable now
I'm assuming it was on the safety tackle? Which was a little awkward. I'd have to go back and look at it though. Cause he seemed fine, the announcers didn't even make a mention of it for several plays. I remember seeing Jacobs like 5 plays in a row and thinking "That's odd" before they finally showed Wilson jogging to the locker room. Apparently the doctor cleared him to go in and then the coaches held him out for precautionary reasons. Or so Wilson claimed on his own twitter. It's weird that we're now hearing that this could be a multi week injury. What's crazy about this is the fact that Wilson seemed like he wanted to go in the game and now this. Weird. Anyone know how he hurt his neck?
What stats? I said 50/50 and you guys took it literally. Again, my point was - Jacobs was part of the game plan and came in on the very first 3rd down. We were told that wasn't the case. It was Wilson's turn because Scott was cut - remember? There were 2 third downs before Wilson went down. That would have evened out and Jacobs would have had as many carries and snaps as Scott was getting. You forgot, making up stats, using terrible logic, and talking out of your ###. But yeah, we get it...The last few pages I have given up on having an actual conversation and was more or less being an #######, fueling the fire.Okay, that's fair. Honestly, it becomes hard to see through the lens as to what the 'anti-Wilson' crowd actually thinks of him. And I'm guilty of this as well from the other side of the argument. But we seem to get so heated that we all start spouting off ridiculous nonsense from time to time. From the past several pages of this thread I was convinced that you felt like Wilson was a talentless bust who would likely never amount to anything more than a journeyman backup in his career. Much in the way of what say, Emience has said continually.I don't think anyone is calling Wilson a bust. I am certainly not, and am trying to add him to my dynasty rosters where I can. If Trent's price keeps dropping, I'll be scooping him up too.If it's not safe to say that Richardson is a bust then it's far from okay to say Wilson is a bust.
It didn't look like much of hit but he got up holding his hand and immediately ran off the field.I'm assuming it was on the safety tackle? Which was a little awkward. Enjoy David Wilson and Lamar Miller. Let me know how your teams end up.
ETA: You've been all over Khy's junk throughout the entire thread. It's natural to find value in statements that provide you what you want to hear, so I get it. But if you're going to call me out - where were you when Khy made up a combine 40 time?
You were riding the fence early in the thread, then bought into the hype. You were wrong. David Wilson has done nothing and you were certain he would. Now your team(s) is worse because of it. Get that.
Yeah. I thought it was a hand injury as well. As soon as they said neck injury, my first thought was just a stinger. I find it hard to believe that it's serious considering how they treated him. Usually they wouldn't let a guy with anything even remotely serious in the neck region back out with his helmet on.It didn't look like much of hit but he got up holding his hand and immediately ran off the field.I'm assuming it was on the safety tackle? Which was a little awkward. I'd have to go back and look at it though. Cause he seemed fine, the announcers didn't even make a mention of it for several plays. I thought he hit his hand or finger on the defenders face mask

1. You said 'The snap count was 50/50' and then complain that we took that literal. How exactly are we to take that statement?
2. How can you possibly know what the final snap count would have been had Wilson not been pulled from the game?
3. I never made up a 40 time, I posted his time from the Va Tech pro day which was reported to be a 4.38. His combine time was 4.49 and he was dealing with an undisclosed injury during the combine. Which only scouts and coaches were made privy to.
4. Wilson was in on one of those 2 third downs, Jacobs was in on the other.
Look, if you guys can put words in my mouth and ignore the fact that I'm just comparing things as opposed to saying "Wilson is just like <player>" then I can take something you stated as fact and assume you thought it was a fact. Jacobs was in on 4 of the 14 snaps in the first quarter. Wilson was in on the other 10. That's about the same split most "lead backs" get in the NFL. You'd be hard pressed to find one who is seeing more than 70-75% of the overall snaps in a game. My bad, yeah it was his pro-day time not his combine time.1. 3. "Sanders 40 time was about 4.37. Wilson's combine mark was 4.38." - Khy (comparing David Wilson to Barry Sanders).
4. I'll take your word for it. I can't find highlights that include the other 3rd down play.

huge game? 6 for 16 equals huge game? I watched each carry and 1)the giants o line cant block.... 2)d wilson got what was blockedall you people are goin way overboard... He was on his way to a huge game before he got hurt.. I agree with KHY they kept saying he was fine and it was precautionary, now they are making it out like a big deal, It is really weird... Im not done with Dwilson as I think sometime soon he will get back on the field and contribute.
He was actually running very well. Regardless, I've tried to explain this... Go look at Jamaal Charles logs vs the Giants or Petersons week 2 logs. They all start out with runs that look like "5, 4, -2, 5, -1" then later in the game you start seeing "15, 28". Again, not saying Wilson is Peterson or Charles. But most of the stud backs these days are big run reliant. They average 2.1ypc on 15 carries then 25 ypc on their other 3 carries.huge game? 6 for 16 equals huge game? I don't own Lamar Miller. I actually roster Daniel Thomas in one league because I don;t think Miller is much of anything. Neither is Thomas it seems. What stats?
