I'm still of the opinion that the releasing of Scott was proof they were going to finally give Wilson the full chance. This was coaches holding him back on snap counts more so than him not showing anything. If he doesn't get hurt in that game we probably finally see him touch the ball 20 times in a game. That said, yeah in redraft? I think ti's time to let him go, especially if they lose tonight. If they lose tonight I wouldn't be shocked if he's placed on IR on Monday if they say he's going to miss anything more than 4 weeks. They still are intending for him to be the future of the Giants backfield. There'd be no sense to rush him back on a lost season when they could just put him on IR and let him rest for the next 11 months.PPR:
Jumped off the wagon for the season.
.
Just didn't think the upside was there (if he even suits up again this year -- which I have my doubts about that in a lost season) as a 2 down between the 20's guy. He's had 5 weeks to show something with zero competition and wound up splitting snaps with a guy that doesn't belong in the league anymore (Jacobs) and another who probably doesn't make the roster if A.Brown doesn't get hurt (Scott).
That said... if they somehow win. And the Cowboys and Eagles lose this week? They're one game out and they may hold him off IR if rehab is an option over surgery for a week or two and see if rehab is doing anything. I think after tonight though, if they lose he's droppable in redraft. And still a great buy low target in dyno.
(And for a 22-23 year old 1st round pick at RB, you're probably expecting that upside -- and I don't see it).
