I liked it, but thought there would be more. I was surprised when it was over. 
Just watched it.  I think I agree here.

They waited like 15 years for a resolution/ending and then ended the movie without a resolution/ending.  Other than the deaths things pretty much ended up where they had left off at the end of season 3.  Maybe even more of a cliffhanger now as Hearst was at least on his way out of town at the end of season 3.

I also wasn't a fan of Al's role in the whole thing basically being a sad send-off to him.  Swearengen reading things and reacting to everything in brilliantly subtle ways was the best part of the show.  He didn't really have a role in the movie.

 
I binged through all three seasons before watching the movie.  Suffice it to say, by far the best part of that experience was re-watching all three seasons. I got the impression they didn't put much thought or effort into the movie.  I felt they just thought it was something that had to be done after all these years, and finally had the time to get to it.
