DeAngello Williams vs. Norwood (1 Viewer)

DeAngello Williams and Jerrius Norwood were two guys I was high on this season and I figured they'd overtake the veterans on their teams and get significant playing time. With that being said, looks like I was wrong. I'm curious to see as to who you guys think will get their opportunity for increased carries first? Both are in similar situations.

I'd have to say Norwood. Dunn is struggling while Foster is playing well.

DeShaun Foster in doghouse?

Panthers RB DeShaun Foster missed Wednesday's practice per "team decision." The local papers believe he might be benched after fumbling 4 times this seaon (2 last Sunday). We issued a "Sell" order on Foster earlier today. He's actually running the ball well but he always does right before he tanks out.

there is another thread dedicated to this somewhere....I thought I read that Foster was given the day off to rest. It wasn't any big deal.

i got both stashed on my redraft league bench right now. Personally i think Dwill has a slightly better chance to do something this season, because as injury prone as Foster and Dunn both are, at least Dwill is not playing much because Foster is playing well. Dunn is not doing so hot himself and Norwood still can't get a few more touches a game.

You haven't given the source of your quote. "We issued a sell..." Who is 'we'?Rotoworld is pretty thorough alerting folks to these sorts of things but I just checked and they are silent on this.

link to story about Foster missing practice. Same paper says the Panthers are "concerned" about Fosters issues with hanging onto the ball.

From the "other' Foster Thread...This is from the Charlotte Observer:

Delhomme, 3 others miss Panthers' practice

STAN OLSON

solson@charlotteobserver.com

Four key Panthers players missed today's practice. Quarterback Jake Delhomme continued to sit out with a strained elbow, running back Nick Goings is recovering from a concussion suffered Sunday and linebacker Dan Morgan is sidelined by a slight tear in his right Achilles' tendon.

Also sitting out was running back DeShaun Foster; that was listed on the injury report as a "team decision." Since coach John Fox said it wasn't for disciplinary reasons, Foster was merely getting a day off to rest.

Linebacker Adam Seward, normally Morgan's backup, has been sidelined by a calf injury, but had limited participation in practice.

Falcons Looking To Unleash RB Norwood

D. Orlando Ledbetter, Atlanta Journal-Constitution - [Full Article]

The Atlanta Falcons' offensive coaches have been trying to figure out how to unleash RB Jerious Norwood. "He's shown that he's able to make big plays for us," Falcons coach Bobby Petrino said. "We have to give him more opportunities and more touches. I think we're still waiting for him to have that breakout game. I think it's just the number of touches. He needs more touches."

I heard this a few weeks ago too. I say D- Will. Foster's fumbling and tendency to get hurt will be the keys.

Yes we are. And after getting rejected on a Norwood for SYoung trade I hope it's real soon.

This is very encouraging. Hopefully he can get more touches than Dunn this week :own3d:
