I projected 16 games, and he essentially missed 4. Fox gave him 41 carries in the first 3 games, all losses, then ramped up the carries as he should have done from the start, and Williams had 156 carries over the next 8 games, and he played very well over that stretch. Then he got hurt only had 19 total carries in the last 5 games.Who knows what would have happened had he not gotten hurt. He could easily have had another 60+ carries, in which case I would have been right. Kudos to you if you projected him to miss multiple games... didn't see you mention that in the thread.Guess who didn't have an increase in carries.I disagree. He was 9th in the league in carries last season with 273. Stewart is hurt and hasn't been practicing. I know Goodson has looked good, but I don't see him as good enough to take significant carries from Williams. I think Williams could easily have more carries this season.it's unlikely Williams carries are going to increase this year![]()
And also let me say that I think John Fox is a terrible coach IMO. He gave Williams 16 carries against Atlanta, despite the fact that he averaged 4.9 ypc in that games... and 11 carries against Dallas, despite the fact that he averaged 5.8 ypc in that game... and 16 carries against Buffalo, despite the fact that he averaged 5.6 ypc in that game... and 13 carries against Miami, despite the fact that he averaged 9.4 ypc in that game... and 13 carries against New England, despite the fact that he averaged 6.3 ypc in that game. Guess what? Carolina lost all of those games, and none by more than 2 possessions.
: Unless you think they are going to draft another RB this year... but why do that when they can just keep Williams for a cheap price?
