deep IDP rookie help (1 Viewer)

I'm in a very complex 32 team auction league with a few rookie contracts.

Salary cap 30mil

I only can sign one of these guys to a rookie contract.. which one has the best fantasy future? both contracts would be for minimal value.

Harper, Roman NOS S ® : looks like he won't get a shot until next year. 100k contract

Haralson, Parys SFO DE ® - for this league he will remain a DE all year.. but his status will change next year. He may have a shot at a starting OLB spot this year. 150k contract

2pts tackle, 1pt assist, 4pts sacks or safeties and 5pts for INT

thanks for any help.. right now I'm leaning towards Haralson.

Close decision but I like Harper.Harper could well end up at SS for the Saints long-term. He appears to be highly thought of by the new coaching staff -- they were criticized for reaching for him in the second round. With Dwight Smith out of favor and Josh Bullocks probably better suited for FS, he's got only Omar Stoutmire and Jay Bellamy ahead of him right now, with Bryan Scott as a darkhorse.

Haralson is a little underrated in my mind from an NFL perspective, but in a league that gives only 2x tackle per sack I can't see him having much impact even in a 32 team situation. He may end up in a situational role long term if he can't establish himself outside in coverage and run support.
