Denny's (1 Viewer)

That looks nothing like any Denny's I've ever been in. I think the last time I was in a Denny's was high school as it was a popular chew and screw late night stop. The food isn't good.

Your assumption is correct. Don't you live in Manhattan? How does a Dennys opening even hit your radar?

Pretty much exists for people with no other late-night options.
:bs:

Sorry, but Denny's are everywhere. And pick any single one of them on the weekend at breakfast time and you'll be waiting in line for a table. I know food snobbery is cool and all in the FFA, but this statement is just straight out wrong/false.

:lmao:

Always preferring good over bad. Silly mammals.

I do enjoy the shredded potatoes swimming in butter, but it's not something I'm going to eat if I'm conscious enough to think about it.

Now, now...we've got to cut these New Yorkers a break. They're used to paying $25 for a "salad" of three small pieces of lettuce drizzled with raspberry sauce and thinking its haute cruisine. They know nothing of the wonders of a real man's breakfast of eggs, sausage, pancakes and toast.

We already have IHOP, what gives?... but I guess the 2yrs in NYC and out guys who work on Wall Street will miss food from home and go there- especially if they can overspend for #### and get a hi-five from the bartender as part of the price-tag.

No coke, pepsi.

I saw that on the menu... I can't imagine anyone buying a $300 meal/drink at ####### Denny's, unpossible!

Is this the Sonic you're crushing while rollin' back and forth on Main Street on Friday nights?

The Denny's out here in the heartland is mediocre at best food. Below IHOP, probably on par with Waffle House. Living in NYC you would have zero reason to ever set foot in there unless maybe you were about to #### your pants and didn't feel like holding it until you get home.

Yeah... considering we still have a lot of crappy Greek diners, not sure the need for Denny's.

But I said the same thing- lots of bodegas around, wtf would we need 7-11s. But then **BAM** like the ebola virus, we got a proliferation of 7-11s up the hoo-hah.

There is no substitute for an emergency Slurpee.

Popping up everywhere... 2 within a few blocks of each other on 14th and then another 3 blocks south of Union Square on Broadway.

Denny's is actually one of my more preferred family friendly chains. I'd much rather go there than an Applebees or Chili's type place. I've honestly never had something other than breakfast food there, but you can't really screw up breakfast food.

It has nothing on a real legit diner of course.

Disagree with the above posters who think it is below IHOP. I'd much rather have Dennys than IHOP.

Couldn't agree more. I had two ihop experiences in the last year or so and both were pretty much the most disgusting food/environment experiences I've had in my life at a restaurant.

I'm talking about the $25 salads you NYCers think are the bee's knees, Jethro.

I'm eating one right now... ####### delicious.

Cracker Barrel is a higher tier, sure. But I'd take Denny's pancakes over CB and it ain't close. The new Denny's pancake recipe is really very good. Much fluffier.
There used to be a Cracker Barrel within 15 minutes of me and a breakfast of Uncle Herschel's Favorite with two Over Easy, Hashbrown Casserole, Grits, Blackened Catfish, Biscuits & Gravy, and Coffee was really good eatin'

Went there for the first time in my life about 3 weeks ago for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised.

Dont think i would try it for dinner though.

I love the hashbrown casserole. It is the number one reason I go.
