Looked to me like Manning thought of it as a playoff game for sure.Yeah, it was a good game. These "home coming" games seem to always be crazy. You never know who's going to get them.
I had to rewind to make sure I heard what I thought heardVontae Davis just said the colts prepared for Tom Brady hahaha

Why not get CJ Anderson ready for after the bye in 3 weeks?? Can't he do what montee ball and hillman do?? I'd like to see him have a chance to fumble at the 3 yd lineGood job Colts.
But very costly victory for them with all the injuries.
Just don't know what Denver is going to do about the RB situation and the fumbles.
Denver comes back strong against Wash and then the bye and then the big 3 games....
Dumb as a box of rocks, main reason Miami traded him.I had to rewind to make sure I heard what I thought heardVontae Davis just said the colts prepared for Tom Brady hahaha
Neither did Tony Dungy after the game. Said it was the wrong call.Just don't understand Hillman getting the ball inside the 2.
380 yards and 3 TD's, holy #### Sell! Sell! Sell!Smack Tripper said:Better to get out one game early rather than one game too late..j3r3m3y said:Selling Denver players now, I laugh.Smack Tripper said:As i understand it, it definitely sapped his arm strength in his last year in Indy. The first six games of this year he seemed to have his old zip. I believe if there is any degree of spinal compression, you'll get an accompanying degree of limited feel/strength. It may be effectively a "stinger" and he'll be fine after some treatment, but I doubt it for the rest of this game. Going forward, who knows, but it just shows he's always, as much as any top tier guy, one hit away.Nucker101 said:Does his neck have a huge effect on his arm strength though? It could hurt his ability see the entire field if it stiffens up and force him to throw the ball quicker than he wants to if he's afraid of getting hit up high again, but I'm not sure how much of an effect it has on his zip on the ball. I could be way off though.Smack Tripper said:No he got drilled in the neck on that sack...Nucker101 said:It's been like that for awhile, he makes up for it with his incredible football IQ, preparation, touch passes and adjustments.Smack Tripper said:Manning's arm looks dead... I wonder if thats why he's been game managing and handing off all night?
Might be time to sell high on all the Denver guys apart from Demariyus who's not exactly high right now.
Yeah, half our OLine is gone, but every team has injuries. We know about these because we are homers. I'm sure the other fans out there can cite crucial injuries for their team too.Hopefully Denver gets one of their OT's back. Changed the whole game not having a starting OT. I think most people don't realize Denver lost both during this season. Denver can't block right now. Denver hung in their with their backup OT's. Hope they meet in the playoffs. Can't wait for the KC game.
Maybe he was using it to insult Manning... i.e., pretending like Manning isn't good enough for the Colts D to know who he is.Dumb as a box of rocks, main reason Miami traded him.I had to rewind to make sure I heard what I thought heardVontae Davis just said the colts prepared for Tom Brady hahaha
I don't know, what explained the 13 of Peyton's previous 14 seasons where he didn't win a superbowl? One-dimensional offensive juggernauts almost never win the SB. The 2007 Pats were a lot better than these Broncos and they didn't win. He's really not a good coach but as the season progresses more folks will see this. How do you not win the Super Bowl with Peyton back there? 2 in a row if he misses this year again.Fox is so dumb. Goes for 2 and doesn't get it; now down by 9 instead of 8. Hillman in at the goaline, fumbles. Then, wastes 50 seconds and clock is down to 0.12 before kicking the field goal. = Loss.
ya a fumble prone bum or Knowshon... Comeon that lost them the game.. Give the damn ball to Knowshon!!!!Just don't understand Hillman getting the ball inside the 2.
Yeah but the staff really likes Hillman and Ball...no need to have Moreno in there at that spot.Fox is so dumb. Goes for 2 and doesn't get it; now down by 9 instead of 8. Hillman in at the goaline, fumbles. Then, wastes 50 seconds and clock is down to 0.12 before kicking the field goal. = Loss.
Fox being a genius in-game tacticianJust don't understand Hillman getting the ball inside the 2.
This really does bug me on so many levels - you take out Moreno who has been playing great this season; you put in Hillman who is crappy and fumbles the ball; you put in a smaller RB for a goal line run that usually calls for the bigger, stronger player; you take the ball out of Peyton's hands who just went down the entire length of the field in an instant; the Colts secondary was in disarray the entire drive; Welker was catching everything thrown his way and the D was ripe for a short crossing or out route at that point.ya a fumble prone bum or Knowshon... I didn't really understand that comment either. The one year where he didn't disappoint in the playoffs was the year he out-dueled REX GROSSMAN in the superbowl. That was back in his prime. I don't think he's close to his prime and I don't see anyone from the NFC making it to the superbowl with a Grossman-esque starting QB.I don't know, what explained the 13 of Peyton's previous 14 seasons where he didn't win a superbowl? Us as well but he had tears in his eyes after meeting the medics on the sideline, limped into the locker room, doesn't look good.Just left the stadium and haven't kept up with this board or TV coverage.
Have mixed feelings about the result. Just wondering why Hillman got the goal-line carry instead of Moreno.
Also hope Reggie Wayne is OK.
Another Costas thread this week?Nice call, Bob Costas -- making fun of Vontae Davis.
Vontae does sound dumb. Maybe he has brain trauma from his brother hitting him in the head with a hammer.http://deadspin.com/5909260/vernon-and-vontae-daviss-younger-brother-charged-with-murdering-a-man-with-a-claw-hammerDumb as a box of rocks, main reason Miami traded him.I had to rewind to make sure I heard what I thought heardVontae Davis just said the colts prepared for Tom Brady hahaha
Probably nothing to it, but it's being brought up here on the after game radio shows.Manning didn't think the Mathis hit affected him. Said he throws a lot of wobbly passes.
Exactly.Amazing that Collinsworth and Michaels still don't understand how challenges work.

Yet if he had scored instead of fumbled it would have been a great call.Neither did Tony Dungy after the game. Said it was the wrong call.Just don't understand Hillman getting the ball inside the 2.
The latter.Sorry if this was discussed before.
Peyton Manning was not deducted points for the fumble/safety earlier in the game(at least on Yahoo). Should he lose points for a lost fumble? Or does the fact that it went out of bounds mean that its not a lost fumble?
Damn, that's a weird rule. Those negative 2 points would have helped. The latter.Sorry if this was discussed before.

It's kind of similar, in thinking, to a QB or kicker who strategically runs out the back of the end zone for a safety. A safety can also be accomplished by that player tossing the ball out of bounds on a "fumble". Sometimes safeties can be intentional (although, obviously, this one was not), so, unless Indy recovered there's no reason to deduct points for a play that, run similarly but under different game circumstances, may have been on purpose.Sorry if this was discussed before.

you guys know that peyton probably audibled into that play right?Fox being a genius in-game tacticianJust don't understand Hillman getting the ball inside the 2.
As a giant Colts fan, that was tough to watch. So many great memories shared over the years. We were fortunate to have him as our QB. Thanks again #18!I'm sure most have already seen (and/or it's already been posted on previous page), but what a class act. Nice of Indy to recognize a great player and person.
