I would go for it. A fail would still have them cover a lot of real estate for a score. WOW, what a bad call.Do the Broncos go for this?
Seems like they've been alternating - sometimes 2 series on and 2 off, but I haven't been paying incredibly close attention. Anyone know the split between series or plays?Interesting that they go back to Moreno when they are trying to seal the game. Bodes well for Moreno owners. Buck will still take some but Moreno will get his.I kick the FG and go up by 7. Worst case is then overtime...
mOOt!!!Do the Broncos go for this?
Too bad they haven't played anybody yet.SIX AN OHHHHHH!
I disagree.Good call.
No, it shouldn't have been a catch until his second foot came down, at which time the ball was not across the goal line.On the first replay I thought that was down on the 1 inch line, but the later replays made it look like the ball was across the goal line BEFORE Stokley hit the ground, and when Stokley went down he brought it out of the end zone (which didn't matter, because it was already a TD).
That's an absolutely horrible call. Unbelievable. How do you say Stokley was in the end zone? Ridiculous. What a terrible, terrible call.
I think Hochuli must be in the replay booth.....I could be wrong about this but my beloved Miami Dolphins have been accused of having the softest NFL schedule EVER in '72 when they were, and still are, the only team to have a perfect season. You can only play the schedule that is put before you!Too bad they haven't played anybody yet.SIX AN OHHHHHH!
The team I was most wrong about this year, by a country mile, was the Denver Broncos. Sorry Bronco fans, I thought your team was going to be terrible this year. You guys have got a very very good team that will not only make the playoffs but may go deep. You have to be excited about that. This would be a terrific win.
Thanks man, I think they have exceeded even the most optimistic Broncos fans. There's no such thing as playing nobody in the NFL. Maybe in college that phrase means something. In the NFL, every win is an accomplishment. 6-0 is awesome for the Broncos.Too bad they haven't played anybody yet.SIX AN OHHHHHH!
Remember, all that has to happen is that any point of the ball has to be over any part of the goal line at any point during the play for it to be a TD. Stokley's momentum was carrying him back upfield, but when he first caught the ball it was barely over the goal line, and his natural momentum brought it back out of the end zone again. That's an absolutely horrible call. Unbelievable. How do you say Stokley was in the end zone? Ridiculous. What a terrible, terrible call.

Actually it looks like that's exactly what happened. When he caught the ball his feet were in the end zone. The nose of the ball just has to cross the white of the end zone at that point. Does not matter that Stokley was coming back to the QB and came out of the end zone."Two feet down in the end zone"
Too bad they haven't played anybody yet.SIX AN OHHHHHH!
Maybe next week. Oh yeah, we have a bye.It isn't a catch until both feet hit the ground. The ball being across the goal line before that is irrelevant.Remember, all that has to happen is that any point of the ball has to be over any part of the goal line at any point during the play for it to be a TD. Stokley's momentum was carrying him back upfield, but when he first caught the ball it was barely over the goal line, and his natural momentum brought it back out of the end zone again. That's an absolutely horrible call. Ahh. Sorry. I'm trying to watch this game, and the Dodgers, and have an internet conversation all at once.<----------- Hey Tim - look to the leftThere's no such thing as playing nobody in the NFL. My understanding of the rule was that he needed to get both feet down to make the play a catch, but once the play was ruled a catch it didn't matter at what point it crossed the goal line. I don't know for sure, though- maybe someone with an NFL rulebook can chime in?The official said the call was confirmed, which means he clearly saw something that unequivocally said the play was a TD (i.e. not just that he didn't see enough to overturn). I imagine the official knows the rulebook better than either of us, so I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I am curious as well on the exact wording of the rule in question.
Ouch.I know nobody cares, but I could use a Kaeding FG to win my game.
They simply got beat by a better team sometimes you have to face the facts that your team is just not as good as the other guys. The GM of the Chargers called out the team before this game, challenging them. I wonder what happens now.
time to blow them up and start over. The GM of the Chargers called out the team before this game, challenging them. I wonder what happens now.
