Denver Posts Speculates RBBC If Henry Is Suspended (1 Viewer)

Yes, yes I know, another Denver RB thread, but it's the topic of the week. So here's a new spin on the week's No. 1 story. From RotoWorld:

If Travis Henry is suspended for the rest of the season, the Broncos are expected to use a tailback rotation of Andre Hall and Selvin Young.

The Denver Post points out that Young is slender and more fit for a change-of-pace role; his former coaches at Texas would agree. Hall is smaller but more compact with better long speed. With Mike Bell and Cecil Sapp also candidates for carries, Young may not be guaranteed a feature back role.

Related: Cecil Sapp, Mike Bell, Selvin Young

So it looks like Hall might be the Denver back to own. It seems if you have Young you better add Hall. Good infomation here.

I've been saying it all along - If and when Henry is gone Shanny will employ a RBBC similiar to what he has done the past 2 years.

What are the chances Shanny goes with the bigger back (Sapp/Bell) in addition to Young as part of the RBBC? Based on what Shanny's done in the past, what about:Young = T. BellM. Bell/Sapp = AndersonHall = fallback if Young is hurt/ineffectiveThis is why I've quit trying to speculate on the Denver RB situation (esp. after drafting MBell as RB2 last year). :football:

Denver has not always been a RBBC - actually up until 2 seasons ago Shanny was notorious for going with a "Stud RB".If he has the talent - he'll use 1 guy (Henry, Portis, Droughns, Anderson).

Don't we talk about this every year? Rat face will say one thing and do something else. If you haven't learned by now you never will. Stay far away from Denver backs..

The Denver Post 'speculates' something and all of the sudden Hall is the guy to own? Never mind that Shanny...the coach...loves Selvin Young. Or that Young is the top guy on the depth chart...

If the Denver Post thinks Young is too lanky, I'm sure he's safe to drop from your rosters

I have not seen anywhere this week where Shanny states Youngs the man. He's liked him in past comments, but heck Shanny liked Q, T. Bell, M. Bell the list goes on. Young has not been given the starting job let, and RBBC looks more likely then Young getting all the carries. Don't forget Young has had one big fumble in limited play this year, if that continues or happens he be on the bench.

Others commented as early as training camp that Hall looked like the best Denver back after Henry.

For what it's worth Adam Shine and Jim Miller (from Sirius's Afternoon Blitz) thought that Andre Hall looked to be the best back behind Henry in their training camp visit.

2 "schtick" NFL guys on the NFL Network radio show. I don't put alot of stock in what they say --- they really don't seem to understand FF.

I believe I recall from another thread some FBG staffers stating that they felt the same way.

Both Schien and Miller do an outstanding job on the Blitz and they "get" fantasy just fine; it's not what they are paid to discuss however. Their job is to report on the NFL: its teams, players, strategy and standings. The whole world does not have to report from a "fantasy angle"; there ARE purists who just love the NFL independent and/or completely attached from FF believe it or not.If these guys especially Adam report their opinions on players and situations I do tend to file them away in a safe place in the back of my mind for rainy days like this season's Broncos running game.
