The "Guys" are projecting between 69 and 85 receptions and 750 to 1050 yds this season with 5 TD's....

I'm in a 1 PPR very deep league and I would like to get some feedback on whether you gyus buy these projections for Mason considering his QB situation is terrible?

Low end: 69/750/5tds

High end: 85/1050/5Tds

Thanks

With Heap back and the ugly QB situation, I see Mason's ceiling as your "low end" projections.

you are right he is back but we haven't played a game either.and do you see the QB situation as that much worse than last year?

i see some where is the upper middle of projections.

With Todd Heap still rather limited health-wise (and this will linger all season), I'd err on the high end for Mason's statistics, going at 90 catches, 1000 yards and 5 TDs (he has never been a big TD guy).

Their QB situation wasn't all that great last year with McNair and Boller, and he still had 103 catches for 1087 yards and 5 TDs.

I got Mason in the 11th round of my 12-team draft as a #4 WR, and glad to get him. He won't put up spectacular numbers, but he is a good bye-week fill-in.

the guy is the most consistent receiver there is, somehow always gets those good WR3 numbers or even WR2 at times. The team I drafted on Wednesday is the first team I have had in 7 years that doesn't include Mason and that's cause someone nabbed him before I could this time.

For PPR leagues, is Derrick Mason getting his season on track after his week 4 performance v. the Steelers? At PPR scoring, he has scored 8, 0, 8, and 21 the first four weeks, with week 2 being the bye. He leads his team, getting 32% of all targets (25/79) after 3 games. Against the tough Steelers defense on the road, Flacco targeted him 45% of the time (14/31) and Mason responded with 8 receptions for 137 yards. Flacco is going to display rookie struggles, but if he can continue to lock onto Mason as a security blanket, Mason as usual will produce a steady low WR2. I expect much of the same in Week 5 as the Ravens host the Titans this week. Mason would like all to much to torch his former team.

I think so. Mason looks good. I think last week was a product of Flacco getting better, which should continue.

Mason is a great number three. Won't win you too many nor lose you too many. A low of 4/40 is great for a team that looks for consistent points.

Right now QB locks onto him. Not a WR1 but I'd say closer to your high projections. After watching the Monday night game I wish I had him.

I think the low is too low and the high is to low.Assuming he doesn't get hurt, I don't see how this guy gets a minimum of 75 catches and he could potentially get 100 catches. Odds are it'll be somewhere in the middle but after watching him last week, he's still got it.Mason is underrated right now.

Flacco looks much better than I thought he would (he does have huge issues as far as ball security and holding onto the ball too long too many times).

75 900 5 TD looks possible. (Even the receptions may be on the low end) I thought there was no way he'd reach that with Flacco.
