I completely missed this. Anyone else see he had an mri and came back as a grade 2 mcl tear and bone bruise. Been a day or so so its prolly been talked about but i didnt see it and was suprised.
Its true, hed prob missed a couple games if it were in season. But in combo with the bone bruise, its worth reporting imo. Bone bruise happens when the tibia and femur crash together, in deseans case the force was also enough to partially tear the mcl. Probably no big deal and hell heal fine but nobody likes to see knee traumas esp on guys who rely soley on their speed.I don't even think they do anything for that. I believe they just let it heal itself and usually it doesn't need surgery except for extreme circumstances. I will let the medical professionals confirm or refute that.
Indeed.Word on the street is that he actually hurt it in the playoff game with GB and came back and gave it a go. I was one who was skeptical when he went down in that game but many kudos is that indeed is the case.

Can't help but root for those guys.
What do you mean?his situation is very fishy
I wouldnt go that far?non-issue
I already have.I wouldnt go that far?non-issue
Sorry, didnt know you were so schooled on mcl tears and the latest research on bone bruises and the future indications of osteoarthritis and chondral surface changesI already have.I wouldnt go that far?non-issue
I'm not, but everything I read says he should be 100% by OTAs. That's good enough for me considering I'm not a doctor. I choose to worry about other facets of my fantasy team, like the draft and trading.Sorry, didnt know you were so schooled on mcl tears and the latest research on bone bruises and the future indications of osteoarthritis and chondral surface changesI already have.I wouldnt go that far?non-issue
He should be. That said its far from a non issue given the trauma his knee has experienced despite what reporters say. I personally would like to see him 100% before declaring it a non issue, especially since bone bruises of the knee can predicate future articular surface problems.NI'm not, but everything I read says he should be 100% by OTAs. Research it. Im not doing it for you, dont really care that much. Would it make sense that when the femur and tibia slam into each other hard enough to cause microfractures that the delicate articular surface may indeed be damaged?Do you have proof of this?He should be. ....but we're talking about a MCL tear and bone bruise, not a microfracture situation.Research it. Im not doing it for you, dont really care that much. Thats basically what a bone bruise is, small microfractures and bleeding in the bone, like a stress fracture almost. Im not talking about microfracture surgery, which is something very different. Like i said im not saying desean is going to have issues, im just saying that before declaring it a non issue more time is needed.....but we're talking about a MCL tear and bone bruise, not a microfracture situation.Research it. Lol. Depends how bad the bruise is. Can take months for bad bruises.Hey FP, how hard is it to heal from a bone bruise? It's practically as easy as tripping someone.
oh i just mean in terms of using it as a comparison to jay cutlers situation. if he had a grad II mcl tear during the playoff game, there is no way he would have traveled to hawaii and practiced for the prow bowl. What do you mean?his situation is very fishy
