A disappointing end to the season. You just don't expect your Cy Young winner to be giving up grand slams. Looking at the big picture it was a solid year, one where they went further than almost anyone expected. As young as they are, progression should be expected in 2025. That of course could be accelerated by the right off season moves.

Will never understand why the Tigers paid Cobb 15 million. Cobb only pitched 12 innings last season and said himself he though his career was over and he was going to retire. Tigers were the only ream that had any type of interest as Cleveland did not make any effort to bring him back at 37.

If that was the case why offer 15 when he would have signed for 5?

Maybe I'm being shortsighted but I'd still let him play center in rotation with Meadows when Meadows comes back. Tigers need to continue to develop Meadows and Baez is playing at an all star level. Sweeney needs his development time as well and he and Baez can rotate at SS.

My favorite part of the game was how efficient he was with his pitches. Very few wasted pitches + opposing hitters trying to get to him early in the pitch count. Hopefully he can repeat that going forward, less of those 100 pitch games where he only goes 6 innings.
