I feel very defeated about this team right now.  I want to wait this week out, especially since I liked the spot this team was in less than a day ago, but I'm afraid it's going to be a fugly week.  Please, prove me wrong.

This was a game I would have bet the farm on the Tigers would lose, but damn at least make it a bit interesting.   Right now It is about even odds that the Tigers don't beat the Tribe more than twice this year.

Gose doesn't take the right path to the ball and he hesitates a lot.  He has tremendous athletic ability, but he's not any better than Maybin who also should be better than he is. 

Upton is an average RFer for his career, but he's not been good in LF at all which makes little sense.  And why Brad has him in LF instead of RF with JD out makes even less sense.  I mean Moya is one of the worst OFers I have ever seen, I think Matt Holiday is probably quite a bit better.

Boyd pitched a good game today.  His third solid showing in his 7 outings.  Not great, but far better option than Sanchez.

Boyd has a 1.86 ERA and over 8 K/9 in last 180 minor league innings. He's not gonna be the next Steve Carlton but those numbers should translate into a decent enough major league starter. I think leaving Greene in the pen where he's excelled is a good idea, and anything involving Anibal a bad one. To me it's Boyd's job to lose, at least I know they have a chance when he's out there. 

6-5 road trip is fine but would have been nice had 4 wins came against the tribe/Jays.

The Detroit Tigers are wasting three spots on their roster on Anibal Sanchez, Mark Lowe and Mike Aviles. Besides salaries and hope, there are no reasons for these three to continue damaging the team’s playoff chances.

This bullpen is much improved over last year. I am pretty confident when they have a lead going to the 8th with jwil and KRod. Reduces my stress level anyway.
